Hotels in South of Pearl River, Guangzhou

I have to admit that the hotel is very convenient, as it’s located very close to Nanzhou metro station. The room I stayed in was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Unfortunately, China has yet to implement a no-smoking law for hotels, and many of the rooms in this property are designated for smokers. Although my room was spotless and odor-free, the corridors often smelled of cigarette smoke due to other guests leaving their doors open for reasons I couldn’t understand. While this is allowed in China and not necessarily a fault of the hotel, I do hope regulations will change soon. As for the room, I did have some concerns about the soundproofing—traffic noise and construction sounds from a building site across the street were quite noticeable. One important point to mention: I didn’t find any staff at the reception who spoke English. While it’s true that today we have many tools for real-time translation, I believe that in a modern hotel catering to international guests, having at least one English-speaking staff member at the front desk should be a basic requirement. It’s essential for getting local advice on restaurants, amenities, directions, and more. Another small note from a European perspective: breakfast was entirely traditional Cantonese, with no international options available—only some fruit. Also, the food items were not labeled in any other language, which might be confusing for some guests. Overall, my experience was very positive, and I believe this hotel has great potential for improvement in the future. Would I stay here again? Yes.

I stayed here for over a week and it truly felt like a home away from home. The apartment was spotlessly clean, located in a nice complex, and only a short walk from the subway — making it easy to get to Guangzhou South Station, the airport, and anywhere in the city. The staff were very friendly and cleaned the room daily. The bed was really comfortable and the TV was huge! If you’re visiting Guangzhou, this is the place to stay. Just note if you do stay here the entrance is a little hard to find, come out of exit day walk forward and left ish to the coffee shop then go up the stairs and head to the building.

Smaller hotel as compared to the mega chains hotel. Service was 200%. The front desk, housekeeping goes way out to make us feel welcome. 1. When we arrived, we noticed there is a certain smell in the room. The housekeeping & front desk let us choose other room till we are satisfied. 2. Daily Extra water bottles are placed in our room when we requested once. 3. Delivery of food is also extremely convenient in this location. 4. Free laundry- Housekeeping team offered to help to transfer clothes from washing to dryer. If you are looking for attentive service, go for this hotel. Big chains hotel, could be over populated, overused items. Though it is not near the major shopping areas, Didi extremely convenient to move about. Distance from Hotel to tourist attraction is usually 15mins-25mins depending on weather. Makes no sense to take a train though the train station is a few steps away as well. Appreciate the hospitality and service provided.

I had a wonderful stay at Guangzhou Lingyue Hotel. The customer service was exceptional, especially from the front desk. A special mention to Xiaoxiao at reception for her friendliness and professionalism. I would like to give special thanks to Ms. Ling for her outstanding assistance and organization of the shuttle transportation to and from the Canton Fair. She was always available on WeChat, keeping everyone updated and offering help whenever needed — truly excellent service! The rooms are large, spotless, and very comfortable. Many thanks to the friendly and smiling housekeeping staff who kept everything perfectly clean and welcoming every day. I highly recommend Guangzhou Lingyue Hotel to anyone visiting Guangzhou for business or attending the Canton Fair. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip!

The hotel is located at Exit E of Jiangnanxi Subway Station, just a few minutes' walk away. I brought my children with me, and they were very happy and said they wanted to come again next time. The front desk clerk took the initiative to help with the luggage, which deserves a good review. The room facilities are also full of details. There are many places to eat, play and visit nearby, which is suitable for taking a short rest in the room and then taking a walk. The key to this type of hotel is the price. I originally booked the cheapest one nearby and planned to make do because I had to catch a flight, but I felt that the environment and service were particularly high-quality and were not inferior to high-priced hotels. It was also very humane. The money spent was well worth it.

Although the room is a little small, the advantage is that it is affordable, it is very convenient to go out and play, and it is close to the scenic spots. At night, you can go for a walk by the Pearl River to see the night view of the Pearl River. The laundry room on the second floor is equipped with a dryer and ironing machine, which is very convenient for drying clothes and ironing. The room is clean, and the bathroom is dry and wet, and there are partition curtains. I like this very much. Xiao Ting has a good service attitude and gives a free room upgrade, which is a very happy stay experience.

This place with actually quite good for a budget hotel. It's clean and new so everything works both in the room and in the common areas. It has a self-serve laundry facility on the roof and a nice latte machine in the lobby. The beds are soft & comfortable, and while it's in a very ”local” area, it's a beautiful walk over the river to Haizhu Square, and maybe 400 meters to shi er gong subway.

This newly opened hotel features sparkling clean rooms and even boasts robot delivery for takeaways, which was a fantastic convenience. Highly recommended! The in-room smart amenities are incredibly convenient. The hotel is just 1 km from Canton Tower, offering stunning night views. With a bus stop right downstairs, getting around is a breeze. Plus, within a few hundred meters, you'll find some absolutely delicious Cantonese cuisine and dim sum. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly, thoughtful, and patient. This hotel truly puts its guests first!

It’s very convenient as it’s next to metro station. However the exit to the hotel does have an escalator going up which is great just on that day we arrivals was under maintenance. It’s a long way up if you have a big luggage. The painful part is that there’s no escalator coming down to the train station except stairs. So you can image my face when I had a big luggage. Hotel staff are very friendly and check in was fast. The room and bathroom are dated. Definitely need a refurbished.

The hotel was one of the cleanest I've stayed in. Not only does the design of the hotel inside make you feel smoothness, it oozes cleanliness. We liked the hotel so much that we extended our stay at the hotel. The hotel is much cheaper in between phases of the cantonfair (15 April - 5 May or September - October) We stayed for 2 nights initially and then extended for another 2 nights as we were attending the cantonfair. Our initial plan was to change to a hotel close to the fair but this hotel's rooms, ammeninities, breakfast and especially the bed was so comfortable. (FYI you get a memory pillow and a big regular pillow) The hotel is a bit hidden as the name on trip.com is different to what the hotel branded. The hotel name is Atour.
