Guayaquil in Ecuador, if not for the special situation of 2020, Chinese people rarely pass. The hotel is located on the Malecon Riverside (across a local main road) by the famous local Guayas River. Before arriving in Gua, I contacted the hotel in advance to arrange a pick-up by email. After leaving the airport, I could find myself holding a sign. The pick-up fee was paid to the front desk of the hotel at $10, and the driver gave a tip of $2. The superior twin room booked is large in size, and the room is also equipped with a small refrigerator and a table, and slippers are not provided. There are wall-mounted air conditioners. The front desk of the hotel can speak English and has a very good attitude. After arriving, I found that the business center was closed due to the epidemic, but the front desk could still help with printing. There is an open space with a roof on the second floor of the hotel, with tables and chairs, and a swimming pool next to it, which coincides with Christmas and a Christmas tree. The hotel provides a free breakfast buffet, which is changed every day. The beef there is very good. There are a lot of people in the breakfast room on weekends, so pay attention to protection. The only minor problem is that our room is close to the road, which is a bit noisy at night, especially because of cultural reasons, the locals like to drive by modified cars with super loud speakers all the way at night, but just get used to it. It only takes about 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to the city center, such as the City Hall or Iguana Park. You only need to cross a road along the river. There is also a supermarket called Mini nearby to buy food and daily necessities, but there are many restaurants suitable for Chinese people. Less, usually the solution is to order takeaway in the hotel room, recommend the takeaway software Glovo, English interface, some dishes have pictures. Uber is recommended for calling out. Overall I am very satisfied with this hotel.
The most extraordinary hotel experience thanks to the people who work at Oro Verde! We had a great stay, we got to know the great malecon 2000 (we walked a lot, but it is beautiful to see the river and the museums nearby), there is a beautiful cafeteria where we bought some typical coffee from the upper area of Ecuador that smells delicious. Finally, we got to know the cocoa museum that is very close and is very interesting. Thank you very much Oro Verde for such a beautiful experience.
Very clean hotel and great hospitality. Even though it was my first time visiting Quayaquil I enjoyed my staying at this hotel. All areas very nice and clean the swimming pool and the gym were the two best spots for my two young boys. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything and answered all my questions and concerns I really appreciated. I will definitely come back in the near future.
The place have some cracks in the infrastructure, the paint of the walls is old and fading and falling apart , when taking a shower water splashes every where on the floor even if the shower door is closed.
What a surprise this nice little hotel was! We just stayed one night before a flight and it was perfect. It's close to the airport. The desk staff was incredibly nice (and spoke perfect English). The room was clean and simple. The decor isn't anything to write home about--well, maybe the giant mirror along a wall by the bed is notable. But you will feel welcome and safe here. The breakfast was lovely. Just a quirky and sweet little place of excellent value. It's close to the mall so there are plenty of options for getting some dinner nearby as well.
Our stay at the hotel was okay. The staff was very friendly. Our room was spacious, you could also use the small fitness room. Breakfast okay, the scrambled eggs were freshly prepared. What bothered us are the poorly insulated windows: because of the street noise, it was quite loud in the room early in the morning. We found the ”art” that decorates all the hotel walls took some getting used to - but that should be very individual 😊
I liked the location, close to the Malecon, parks, shopping, banks and restaurants. The hotel has an elevator and I was on the top 4th. floor in a large single. Too large since the 40 ” tv was too far from the bed on the opposite side of the room. Keep in mind this is an older hotel and the furniture is spartan and the bed was hard but o.k. for me. Bathroom was remodeled and the shower had an all glass front. Plenty of hot water but tricky to maintain a nice temperature. Wi-fi is excellent! Staff was helpful. I had central air with no controls except off and on so I just toggled it, an inconvenience, but I turned it off at bedtime since it was not hot. It seems not as hot as previous years perhaps due to a change in the clime or maybe subjective. The California Restaurant is adjacent to the hotel.
Nice modern clean comfortable city hotel. Hotel shuttle was awesome and appreciated. Hotel checkin quick, and front desk staff all helpful and very professional. Breakfast buffet one of the best, with plenty of seating and enormous options. Hotel had ample security and was securely connected to the largest mall in the country. Mall had everything from upscale shopping, to MaxiMarket grocery store. Hotel Restaurant on site very good. Hotel had several nightly entertainment events scheduled. Hotel does have a bar, gym, dry cleaning, pool, mini bar, room service, and everything you expect from a four star hotel. Again, airport shuttle, fantastic breakfast, safety, and great staff made my stay excellent. Highly Recommend

Outstanding
TTeodoro PI stayed 2 nights at RiverFront 1 with my family and I can comment that my stay was pleasant, a quiet place to rest, I also want to highlight that the place is very safe inside and outside the building. Also the agent (Marcos Vargas) was very helpful although I did not meet him in person, he was very attentive in providing us with additional service and the person Giovanna was very respectful and kind to us. As a suggestion to anyone who wants to stay here for more than a day, I recommend bringing your own personal hygiene items and groceries for the time you plan to stay. Note: the apartment is equipped with kitchen utensils, coffee maker, toaster and microwave oven. In summary I recommend staying at RiverFront 1

Excellent
GGuest UserIt is true that Guayaquil does not have an excellent reputation, and one would be wise to exercise caution in this city. Nevertheless, people are people, trying to work, play, survive wherever you find them, and this is a city of good people. Maybe not for everyone, the Mansion del Rio offers a step back into an earlier era. Beautifully decorated (it's frequently used for weddings and other staged events) and situated in Las Peñas, it offers nice views from some rooms, a reasonable breakfast and accommodating staff. We stayed in the front room (# 1) which I would highly recommend. We had a view of the river and a satisfied iguana in the tree outside our window. It's a short walk to the Malecon and the station for the Aerovia which is fun to ride for the whole circuit. For most people Guayaquil tends to be a pass- through- city but it's worth a stop, and this hotel makes it more memorable. It seems Edwardian, or is it Georgian, or is it Victorian? You decide. Check it out. Look at the photos. While wearing your Panama hat.
GGuest UserA great option to host you in Guayaquil, I loved fresh rooms, super comfortable and fresh whites, a large bathroom and with amenities. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable. I didn't like the steam service, and the gym is obsolete, there are not enough weights or machines, I if I exercise and that time because there was not much choice to train.
GGuest UserI enjoyed my stay at this property, very confortable, clean which is all you need for few nights, breakfast was great as well. I like the location nearby to the shops and restaurants. I use a los this hotel brands and like very much the services

Parque Seminario
33adeIn a city park in the old town of Guayaquil, the so-called lizard park, there may be hundreds of them, not afraid of people at all. There are also many pigeons. You can buy feed from vendors, and then you will be surrounded by pigeons.
Malecon 2000
乖乖小咪The Malecon 2000 riverside promenade in Guayaquil is a very lively and romantic pedestrian street. The lights here are bright at night, and the warm river breeze blows on your face, which is very comfortable. It is definitely worth a walk here.
El Faro de Guayaquil
乖乖小咪This is the most beautiful place in Guayaquil, Lighthouse Hill, which is located on the seashore. Its landmark building is a blue and white lighthouse. The terrain here is very high, and you can overlook the entire surrounding scenery and the beautiful sea view from afar. This is also where tourists gather in Guayaquil. It is very lively and must not be missed.
Museum of Anthropology and Contemporary Art
WWillSumIt is hard to imagine a city that has a self-contained museum of contemporary art, and is free. The exhibits here are mainly carried through traditional textile clothes and some porcelain bottles and cans, which can reflect the long history and culture of their own country, and become a new landmark for the future with the 2000 seaside road.
Botanical Garden
乖乖小咪This is a very beautiful botanical garden, where many tropical plants are planted. There are also some old-fashioned buildings in the botanical garden, such as imitation folk houses and churches. The natural environment is very beautiful, and the tall palm trees swaying in the wind are really very comfortable.
Presley Norton Museum
薄薄荷-绿好彩Very good place, very magical realism style, especially recommended.
