Good hotel, as always a pleasant experience.
Very nice birthday surprise
Ok dinner and good breakfast.
Some points to improve common areas were very cold and the air conditioning in the room did not heat enough.

I really enjoyed this hotel and the staff! Absolutely wonderful. Dinner and Breakfast included with my room is an added bonus. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. Must stay if you are in Faro!

The hotel itself is beautiful spotless clean and all the staff are lovely especially Patricia who tries to get everyone to do activities. The only thing is the hotel is a bit out of the way also lunch at the poolside is outrageously expensive other that that it is a lovely hotel. We we're at a wedding and it was amazing.

Had such a great time here but not because of hotel itself, but people I went with. I am not sure from where those horrible reviews are coming as most of complaints simply are not true! Hotel is not perfect, but still very good! Room - very spacious, spotless, has everything you need for comfortable stay. Bed was huge, a bit too hard for me but this is my preference. Slippers, dressing gowns, fridge, tea /coffee making facilities- everything there. Staff - all were great - receptionists, waiters, housekeepers - everyone will greet you with a smile. Housekeeping did brilliant job every day. Breakfast- very good, so many choices and Prosecco on top of that. Dinner - average but good, I would say quite limited choices but nearly everything we tried was excellent quality and tasty. Massive downside - they charge even for glass of water with diner🤦🏻♀️ I would understand charge for alcoholic drinks, but hey - nowhere else I have stayed on half board where I can’t get even a sip of water. Shocking. Decking around pool (which itself is amazing!) - I am not sure how no one has broken their neck yet. At many places broken, massive gaps - this was death trap. Free pool towels do not compensate for it. Also cocktails served at pool bar were horrible. For nearly 10 eur for a small drink - no, don’t waste your money. Unfortunately all 4 of us did, tried few times - nope, paying 10 eur for glass of ice is not worth it. Try bars on the beach - cheaper, double the size and you will be merry after one 🤣

Um enorme desapontamento, o vosso serviço catering ao jantar apresenta uma falta de qualidade extrema. A ementa, é paupérrima. A qualidade dos ingredientes esta ao nivel de uma cantina de fraca qualidade. Não é de todo um serviço 5 estrelas. O valor da meia pensão é assim e devido a este facto, totalmente desajustado. Existem ofertas de 2 ou 3 estrelas com melhores ementas e pratos. Não vale a pena de todo a meia pensão, o jantar é terrível. Em Portugal, na região do Algarve, onde a gastronomia é fenomenal este jantar no Vidamar Algarve é uma total vergonha. A. Raposo Abril 2024
