Travelodge is my go-to place for whenever I stay over in Guildford. Decent price when booked in advance and has lovely breakfast offerings.

Stayed for one night. The hotel is a 20-minute walk away from the town centre in a very quiet location. The breakfast buffet was tasty (although I wish they’d had cream cheese for the bagels!) and I slept very well. The downsides: the iron I borrowed from Reception was in very poor condition, leaking water all over the floor (and my shirt!). And there’s only 30 minutes of free wifi per day, although you can buy more if you like.

The room i stayed in with my boyfriend was amazing. The bed was so comfortable and the temperature was just perfect. Where it was located was a treat too. 15 minute walk from spectrum and 20 minute walk from the town centre. I loved the bed and look forward to booking at this hotel again in the near future.

Great stay. Great price, super clean, and not too far from the train station.

- terrible / Noisy rooms - no room servicing (2 night stay) - room rate booked by company included breakfast which was not honoured - reception team seemed very uninterested and just wanted the quickest route to getting rid of you - invoice given for receipts purposes had no values on it - I was told this was “normal”. It definitely isn’t

Lovely! Very friendly and helpful :) Had a very lovely experience and Santosh Sohphiya Ashmita always had a smile on his face! He was the bartender and made our experience just that extra bit special! If he hadn’t been there to serve us I reckon my life would be in complete ruins so very glad I had the opportunity to be here at this very moment!

Nice hotel and friendly staff. We got great support from Pratima for breakfast. The room met the standard while the checkin process was straightforward. The hotel was close to Uni of Surrey and town center. The car park was free but it could get full fairly quick. Will surely get back if we visit Guildford anytime in the future.

I extend my stay due to unforeseen circumstances. I booked additional stay on double room and few more nights on standard room plus. I confirmed this prior to be able to move in the 4th floor. Upon transferring they put me on same floor on standard room. They even asked me what floor do I want. I explained that it would be on 4th floor as It was standard plus. When I went to the room on the same floor (3rd floor) I was horrified. There’s nothing better than the room/ place. I went back to the reception and explained. Show her my booking. According to her I was booked on standard room. The experience was awful. She offered voucher but according to her she will still process it. This should have been managed well.

Kirsty helped us so much. She made us feel at home. We have stayed at Premier Inn, Harbour Hotel and the Mandalay and I would choose TRAVELODGE over all of them. Cheaper, big rooms and superb staff. Breakfast at Premier inn is better, but I think is slightly more expensive. It is further away from the town centre than Harbour and Mandalay, but they are much more expensive.

I am gald to see that the excellent standard that I had experienecd during my last stay is still maintianed. Clean room, comfortable bed , friendly staff and excellent breakfast service. Only downside this time was very hot room. I am aware that they do not have air conditioning in rooms and it is not this particular hotel or management's fault, but Travelodge needs to invest some money to keep up with the market. Overall great stay due to cleanliness standard and friendly staff. I will be back in December.

Checked in at 2pm was told bar was closed as no staff until 3pm. Bar prices are ridiculous £2.30 for 330ml of water. Room backed onto train tracks so was very noisy and only a fan in the room no aircon. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

You get what you pay for, I’m glad we didn’t pay more! Arrival and check in was fine, room was pleasant but basic, tired looking and a touch shabby around the edges. Towels were stained and had holes in. Unfortunately the usb charge points by the bed did not work. With a number of devices needing charging and very limited plugs/charge points in the room this was a problem. I went to reception to explain the issue, it took a further 3 visits and nearly 4 hours for them to move us, by which point it was nearly 8pm and we hadn’t yet been able to properly relax after a long day. This was very disappointing. The hotel is hot, we were provided with a fan but this was of limited use, the further up you go the hotter and not stuffy the rooms get. Black out curtains are very well but the gaps around them were so vast they were pretty pointless. A lot of road noise that didn’t stop all night, as well as trains and cars in and out of the carpark for the gym. Some very noisy guests screaming and using offensive and obnoxious language that frightened both my son and myself. Pillows were too firm for me and I struggled to get comfortable all night. Breakfast was nice, plenty to choose from and the breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. The charge for the wifi is disappointing when we reply on online access so much, other hotels include this in their prices with unlimited devices. Later checkout of midday was appreciated. If we return to Guildford we will use alternative accommodation to Travelodge.
