Guildford Manor Hotel & Spa

Absolutely gorgeous place. The hotel is beautiful and the land just radiates relaxation. The furniture is very pretty throughout. Restaurant is a bit dark but definitely has a cozy vibe. Afternoon tea was average, sandwiches were cold and a bit boring, scones had no fruit (which I prefer actually), the cakes were tiny but tasty. Tea selection was good, not sure if coffe was included? The food was served on cheap ikea plates which I’ve found a bit weird. Breakfast was a small buffet on first day, small selection of full English, tiny croissant, some cereals and fruit salad, two types of cold meat. Second day had to order what I’d like out of a full English. I would’ve preferred some more cooked breakfast option like egg royal etc. I had the steak burger for lunch and it was very nice. The cocktail was small but nice. Fernandez was attentive and chatty in the restaurant. The spa is great. Everything I wanted. The outdoor massage thing is great. There were ample sun loungers inside and out but I assume it wasn’t very busy on a Monday night. The young lad at reception lacking hospitality and charisma, polite but seems to not enjoy his job. The rooms feel small but then you’ll only sleep there. The walls are very thin and so you hear everything next door and/or above. The bathroom had some sewage issues, shower would flood and toilet smelled. The air con didn’t work, “clean filter” fault. It didn’t bother me much as weather was comfortable and opened windows. Massive windows so you have to roll down the blind if you don’t want to be in a shop window. Music was a bit loud at 7 am but next day it was on only after 8.

I had an incredibly peaceful and enjoyable stay. The property is breathtakingly beautiful, with stunning grounds that are sure to leave you in awe. To top it off, the staff were incredibly courteous and went above and beyond to make my stay even more memorable.

Had an amazing time really lovely people and amazing venue. Afternoon tea and Swedish massage was fantastic only thing I would say is with a function on as we had it’s was very noisy in our room till midnight and I couldn’t sleep and also if you can get bigger than double bed size I’d recommend it was very sung for 2 but would happily stay again amazing

So relaxing - lovely spa and massage. Restaurant lovely. Super cool peacock living in the grounds. Bed nice and comfy, hotel very pretty. Felt very relaxed after an overnight stay. They even provided dressing gowns for the spa - outside jacuzzi was lovely

Room smelt of stale cigarette smoke Lack of lighting outside made it feel dangerous and unsafe walking from the car park to the main hotel My room was directly above the gym and I could hear the thrum of the treadmill The corridor outside the room smelt strongly of chlorine from the pool Gym didn't open until 7am so I couldn't use it Paid for room on check-in & then before I could go to my room the management insisted they take an additional £50 hold on my card for "incidentals" (which I said I wouldn't be needing) due to "hotel policy" The room itself was clean & the bed comfortable

The spa morning was very enjoyable and the lunch was very nice and included in the price. Service from Mo in the restaurant was fantastic.

For the price, this is a first class hotel. Excellent customer service when I arrived in the evening. Fabulous room and exceptionally comfy bed. Very impressive looking hotel. Would definitely stay there again!

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Absolutely disgusting trea**ent from certain staff, feel sorry for the other staff subjected to such bad management, I went as far as declining the trea**ents I had paid for as I felt unsafe and intimidated actually being there, REFUSED refund or even an apology, ignoring all contact I have tried to make, how is this business even still running?!

The weather was not so good but the out side jacuzzi was amazing with hot steaming stuff is very kindly Nice room Nice breakfast 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
