Atour Light Hotels in Guiyang

Excellent stay overall. Just a few mins walk from the subway station and easy to access from all parts of the city. Hotel premises are new and sleek. Low rise building. Amole carpark. Plenty of food options nearby. Hotel checkin was seamless and pleasant. Cozy rooms are small but cozy as the name says. Clean and well equipped. Breakfast is awesome and wide ranging. There are also gym, washing machines to wash your clothes although it was heavily used during our stay. Amenities inside the room are complete.

I traveled to Guizhou with my child this week and stayed at several hotels in different cities. This one was an absolute surprise and even better than some of the branded five-star hotels. The location is unbeatable, right opposite Wenchang Pavilion, which you can see from your room. Downstairs, there's a bustling commercial area with plenty of options for dining and shopping. It's also an easy walk to Jiaxiu Tower. We visited during the off-peak season, but every time we took a taxi past Pen Shui Chi (Fountain Pool), there was some traffic. Compared to Pen Shui Chi, the traffic here is much better. The entire hotel's design and facilities are very new, and all the thoughtful details make for an excellent experience. The soundproofing, smart toilet, shower pressure, cleanliness, and breakfast were all fantastic. If I had to point out a flaw, it would be the check-in time at the front desk. At all the other hotels, check-in took only 1 or 2 minutes, but here it took a while. When checking out, we had to wait for other guests to check in, and it took a long time for them to finish as well. Next time I visit Guiyang, I will definitely stay here without hesitation.

I really enjoyed my stay here, so much so that I booked for another two days! There are tons of great food options nearby, and getting around is super easy. The restaurants across the street are all amazing; you can't go wrong no matter what you pick. The Clear Soup Hotpot, Siwawa, and Sour Soup Beef were all delicious. I also felt very comfortable with the cleanliness; the towels came sealed in disposable paper bags to prevent contamination. I even redeemed my points for some hand warmers and socks, and they were good quality too! A big shout-out to the front desk staff – both the ladies and gentlemen were incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and quick to respond to everything.

I stayed three nights in Guiyang, but the first night I was at a different hotel. The location and interior weren't great, so I quickly checked out and switched to this one. All I can say is, it has to be Atour! They always manage to make you feel at ease with their attention to detail. In an area filled with the smell of BBQ, stepping into the hotel lobby instantly transported me to a quiet, cool environment with a subtle hint of coffee and aromatherapy. The room was very new and clean, and the facilities were of the reliable Atour quality. The front desk lady, Jingyuan, and another round-faced gentleman with glasses both provided excellent service. We stayed two nights and even got free breakfast, which had everything you'd expect and was of great quality! In between, we went caving, and for such an exhausting trip, having the most reassuring accommodation was essential. I'll always trust Atour, trust Atour Light, and choose them for my travels!
