Spacious and comfortable room (Cockatoo) in a nice garden setting. Grocery store next door and a cafe, restaurant and pub very close. Cereal, bread, eggs and bacon supplied for a make-your-own breakfast. Check-in and check-out are contactless, so we did not meet the owners.

We had a four night stay in the Clemenger Cottage. The extra space including a second bedroom was very welcome. The cottage itself is lovely and comfortably furnished. I wouldn’t describe it as luxurious, however, and it is fairly expensive for what it offers. We appreciated that the owners resisted going over the top with the cottage theme as so many places do. One warning is that the bedroom almost opens onto the street with a verandah only in between the room and the road. We found the road noises with occasional trucks and motorbikes, quite annoying. The villas at the back would be a better choice to avoid the road noise. Also, screen doors would be welcome so you could keep the front and back doors open without any mossies! We did enjoy our stay and can highly recommend Gundaroo and the location of The Nest was perfect for walking to Grazing, Cork street cafe, and the Store.

This is our second visit staying here and we absolutely love it. The accomodation is very spacious and so tranquil. The gardens are beautiful and the location is perfect and handy with the grocer next door. Unfortunately for us the timing was not prefect as some of the other businessses in town were closed for the holiday period but we walked around exploring the town. Lana spoilt us with bacon and eggs each morning (and lots of other things including juice, bottled water) which was really appreciated. We love visiting this town as this place has a great country feel of yesteryear and friendly atmosphere. The Inn was opened which was great and we enjoyed a yummy meal there. We love Gundaroo and hope to return.

We drove from Sydney as we were needing a place to stay overnight to see Kate Ceberano perform at Talagandra Hill winery. It was a beautiful property, from the gardens outside and then opening the door to the Rosella room was such a pleasant surprise. We cooked our own breakfast with the food provided in the fridge and checked out very pleased with our stay.

We stayed for the week-end in "The Cockatoo" cottage, which had been clearly deigned for wheelchair/disabled access. The bathroom was enormous with grabrails and floor-level access to the shower. There were many kitchen utensils, if you wanted to self-cater - the supermarket/takeway was right next door. There is also a fireplace (enclosed), with wood supplied. With good coffee capsules and light breakfast also supplied. Right next to everything in Gundaroo - which is not very large. Excellent short stay.
