Lovely stay, the staff were so lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Wonderful service throughout the whole stay. The room was great and really appreciated the fridge and real milk to make a cuppa! I would highly recommend this place. I only had the breakfast but it was perfectly cooked with high quality ingredients. Maggie was an attentive breakfast host. Thank you for you hospitality.

Lovely, homely hotel in a quiet location. Fridge stocked with fresh milk . Tea coffee kettle in room. Very friendly staff- great bar, breakfast & restaurant.(not open Monday and Tuesday)

We enjoyed our stay here, Jacqui was very accommodating, Room 3 was large with a great King size bed, but the highlight was the full Welsh breakfast which kept me going all day. This was a great starting point on our road trip through Wales. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed meeting Jacqui, Rob and Maggie who all made us feel at home. The room was spacious, quiet and had all the essentials. The breakfasts were all made to order (thanks Maggie). Jacqui gave us lots of advice for what to do and see while we were there.

Wow, what can I say. This place is fantastic, from booking to checkout the experience was exceptional. My room (3) was excellent, spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable and lots of space and for me something that is a must in all rooms as I have a serious knee problem, a walk in shower. Unfortunately for me, I booked in on a Tuesday and the pub and restaurant are closed on a Monday & Tuesday but there is a complete list in the room of other local places to eat, even though I had to do this (and was notified about this when booking) I would 100% return even on a Mon or Tue. Breakfast was excellent as is Maggie (from Scotland), and con only imagine how good the meals would be. With work I cover the UK and Ireland and would put The Gwaelody y Garth Inn in my top 3 places I have ever stayed in, and there are many. In the guest book, I even noted that that the room was too cheap for the quality that is provided. I would highly recommend, but be quick as there are only 3 rooms.

What a lovely inn! The room was spacious, bed and shower excellent, all clean. Good WiFi connection and charging by beds a plus. V close to Castell Coch, and easy for Cardiff's attractions. Food was delicious, the spinach and chickpea curry was the best I've ever tasted. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back - a little gem! Many thanks.

I booked two nights because of its convenient location to Acapela Studio for 2 concerts. Staff was helpful in recommending a taxi company and connected me with another person who was attending the same concerts so we could share the taxi rides. The breakfast was cooked to order and really delicious. The room was in a extension with a separate entrance. It was large with a small fridge (glasses and milk bottle), several large angled windows so plenty of light and a nice view.

This is a lovely pub with restaurant just north of Cardiff. It's in the country but only about 20 minutes out of the city by car. It's set at the bottom of a mountain/large hill, in beautiful countryside. At the top there are views over South Wales and beyond to Somerset. The pub has accommodation attached, with 3 rooms. Ours was comfortable, clean and well-appointed with good facilities. It was quiet in the room even though the pub was sometimes busy. The service-levels were high. The staff were attentive and friendly. They are really can do (where many places are not).. in particular, the owner/front of house manager Rob made sure all customers and guests were looked-after.. The bar staff were great and I want to especially mention Sarah who works there, Maggie and Rob managing the accommodation, they were all great.. Thanks for a memorable experience.
