Great
GGeorgii BuzykinThe room is in excellent condition, cleanliness is at a level, restaurant, bars, you can even walk from the airport in 5 minutes if necessary, there is a lot of greenery nearby, you can relax and smoke.
The staff prefers English, which is easy to explain, sixty-year-olds rarely work at the reception.
The transfer from the airport is excellent, but I had to work hard to get to the airport, which led to the loss of precious time between flights. Before departure, I received a letter with an offer to inform the arrival time and flight number, confirmed everything, called when leaving, none of the numbers answered. With the help of ubiquitous taxi drivers, I found a special hotel stop, waited, called again and went on foot on the tip of the same taxi drivers (Google was lying). It's good that there was no luggage, but I don't like crossing roads in Baku at night. The hotel should be more careful, it is better to just not offer the service. Taxi - 10 manat.
RRita around the globeWe made two different reservations (2 nights + 1 night) so were given two different rooms, which made the experience completly different from one another. The first was super nice, amazing cleanliness and the room had so much light (in this case, I highly recommend this Ibis). But the second room had a terrible tobacco smell, despite having asked for a non smoking room (it was so bad it got to the point I couldn't even sleep) and just one small window. Nevertheless, both experiences had one thing in common: rude staff. It's a good hotel to go up straight to your room. My conclusion is: your experience will really depend on how lucky you are with the room they assign to you.

Very Good
JJudy LpyStayed here for little over 2 weeks. Didn't enjoy the breakfast in the hotel, just not to my personal taste. The gym is much tiny than the photos shown, very limited equipments and not well maintained, ie. The cycling machine is faulty.
Used the room service couple of times, the food was not reasonably priced for the quality.
Daily housekeeping not consistent, I can tell the cleaner just empty the bin and changed the towels. However, I didn't see shower and basin area getting cleaned up during my over 2 weeks stay, as it gets dusty. Towels provided had marks on it sometimes.
Overall, I think my experience here is subpar, personally, will not stay here next time.
Jjigardedhia26Good location is a plus point, it’s a decent hotel for the price being paid.
Downside is that it has no lift and the reception is on 2nd floor.
Average breakfast but is manageable for Vegetarians
Standard room has no balcony or city view.
It’s an internal window with no view whatsoever.

PPranav Patil P🌟 A Perfect Family Getaway at Modern Hotel Baku – Exceptional Service & Unbeatable Value! 🌟
My recent stay at Modern Hotel Baku was nothing short of outstanding! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, making it a truly memorable experience for my family – including our two-year-old.
The hospitality here is top-tier. The team was attentive, warm, and genuinely caring. Whether it was arranging extra pillows or offering timely assistance, they anticipated our needs with a smile.
The food was a highlight of our trip – some of the best we’ve ever had at a hotel! The breakfast spread was lavish, with fresh, flavourful options, and dinner menus offered a delightful mix of local and international dishes. Every meal felt like a gourmet experience!
Traveling with a toddler can be challenging, but Modern Hotel Baku made it effortless. They provided fresh milk for our little one at various times of the day without hesitation, and even offered snacks tailored for kids. The staff’s patience and willingness to accommodate our needs (like high chairs or kid-friendly utensils) made us feel completely at ease.
For the level of service, amenities, and quality we received, the price was unbelievably reasonable. It’s rare to find such affordability paired with luxury – this hotel nails it!
Modern Hotel Baku is a gem for families, couples, and solo travelers alike. Their attention to detail, dedication to guest satisfaction, and focus on creating a welcoming environment for children set them apart. We left feeling pampered, well-fed, and already planning our next visit!
It's hardly at distance from Nizami Street/Little Venice/Daniz Mall/Old Baku/Carpet Museum all at max 3-4Manat taxi fare.
– if you’re heading to Baku, look no further than this hotel. Five stars all around! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
RRebecca CoatesThe service was not the best when we arrived. The receptionists took their time to assist us and when we finally were given keys, they just pointed to the lift and left us.
The hotel room was quite outdated with a broken leaky fridge and a bulky TV. However, the balcony was quite nice and the view was amazing.
The food was really good and it was plentiful.
AArtyom PetukhovWhen I checked in I was told the door is broken so I could not open it with the electronic key and they'll open it, but it's gonna be fixed the next day. Of course it was never fixed and I had to ask the staff to open it for me every time. Felt REALLY awkward. Then some day some random woman (she was working here I believe) just opened my door and walked in while I was in my room at midnight, saw me, said sorry and run away. What was that I have no idea, but it kinda gives you an idea about their take on privacy. The TV was not working, because the cable was literally torn apart, the WiFi broke down several times and one time it was more than 24 hours. The showerhead was broken, the water from the shower never went the way it supposed to, but straight to the floor, the toilet was not really attached to the floor (thankfully it was attached to communications). With that being said, I still think the hotel is okay for the price, the room was nice, big and clean and had a personal balcony and the staff were really friendly.
GGuest UserThe hotel was renovated from an old hotel and was a bit run-down. The front desk's English skills are poor. The hotel is all carpeted and difficult to clean.
Feng shui is not good, the mirror is designed to face the bed. The room is relatively spacious, but the living experience is still average.
CChacha26The room was huge and spacious. Location is nearby the tourist attraction and staff are accomodating. They allowed us early check in with minimal fee.
