GGuest UserThe best hotel we have stayed upon our 8 days Yunnan trip. Upon we arrived, the host had already contacted me prior to our arrival and already waiting for us. They have mesmerizing view looking at the Napa Sea, heated floor, oxygen refill machine, heater bed, large bath tub, proper automated toilet & heated shower. It is such a waste we couldn't stay longer cause the place surely have many more to offer, especially photography time with the host's pet using the tradisional costume. The foods were great, reminding us how a comfort food of our childhood memories.

Zzhuzhu_ivyThe room amenities were excellent; it was very well-appointed, with disposable bath and hand towels thoughtfully provided, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff were all incredibly warm and enthusiastic, consistently working diligently and responsibly. The location is fantastic, being very close to Dukezong Ancient City which is incredibly convenient. Plus, there's an electric scooter rental shop nearby, making it super easy to explore. We also appreciated the generous welcome fruit selection – it was more than we could possibly finish!

MM28021****Our Shangri-La trip was absolutely perfect! Not only did we get to see the stunning 'sun-kissed golden mountains,' but the hotel we chose on a whim also turned out to be amazing! First and foremost, a big shout-out to the staff member – he was incredibly warm and attentive. All his food recommendations were spot-on; we didn't have a single bad meal! The hotel's shuttle service was also incredibly thoughtful and essential (I found it a bit tricky to hail a taxi in Shangri-La). Importantly, the hotel facilities are excellent and well-maintained. Our room was very clean and tidy, and quite smart. Given the dry climate, they even provided humidifiers and oxygen concentrators, which shows incredible foresight. The location is right within the ancient town, making it super convenient to get everywhere – especially within the old town, where you can just walk. Highly recommended!

CChia NgThe hotel is with walkable distance to ancient town, near east gate. Nice view from the room. The hotel is equipped with humidifier and oxygen supply; which is a great value! The hotel does provide free transport to railway station. However, the hotel is too warm in room and even restaurant; which is not comfortable as the aircond seems not functioning. There is no hanger for clothes in the bathroom.
But overall we enjoy the stay in the hotel

3 stars for the view from the rooftop on the 3rd floor, and for the friendly attitude of the owner and staff, who even escorted guests from the north gate to their vicinity.
Dissatisfactions:
1. Price is relatively high. Two nights in the off-season cost around 650 RMB, which is more expensive than our individual airfare. It feels like the price doesn't match the environment. The location is quite remote and high up, difficult to find and walk around. We had to climb stairs every time we returned to the guesthouse, which was very tiring. The high altitude might be the reason for the fatigue.
2. The toilet in our room had a problem; the water flow was very weak, making it difficult to flush.
3. After the toilet problem, we requested a room change. Initially, they said they would change us to a room of the same price, but later they changed us to a room about 60 RMB cheaper, and they refused to refund the difference.
4. Very few electrical outlets. The changed room only had one outlet each by the bed. The oxygen concentrator wasn't even by the bed; we had to squat next to the TV to use it, which was very inconvenient.
5. The shower water temperature kept fluctuating between hot and cold. At high altitudes, showering can easily cause altitude sickness, and this water temperature made it even more uncomfortable.
6. The soundproofing was extremely poor; you could completely hear the neighbors making phone calls.
7. There was a bathtub but no disposable bath liners, disposable towels, or electric mosquito repellent; only a toilet seat cover and slippers were provided.

TToon_mWe really enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect — right on Lebodualang Road and just a 5-minute walk to Dukezong Ancient City, with lots of restaurants and supermarkets around. Super convenient.
Our room was big, clean, and felt new. The bed was comfy, and we loved that there was a bathroom heater (very useful in cold weather!). Also, as three women traveling together, we really appreciated having two hair dryers in the triple room — such a thoughtful detail. The lighting was great, the room was warm, and it also kept noise out really well. Plus, there were plenty of plugs in every corner, exactly as described. All rooms face the street, so you get to enjoy the city vibes both day and night.
The lobby is simple and cozy — and they have two adorable cats, which made the place feel even more welcoming.
But the highlight of our stay was the service. Da Hai (hope I spell it right!) took such good care of us. He even walked us to a nearby Yak Hot Pot restaurant — which turned out to be really good. On our last day, we got a free airport transfer, and he offered to leave a little earlier so we could stop by the Prayer Flags & Harmonious Tower for a quick sightseeing visit before heading to the airport. That was so thoughtful and made our last day extra special.
Overall, this place is great value for money. We felt comfortable, welcomed, and well taken care of. Highly recommended! 💛

SSonia Wan CYThis hotel gives a very fresh and new first impression. I found out from Quzhen （曲珍）that it only opened in July. The design of the entire hotel is excellent – very chill yet infused with local ethnic characteristics. It's not overly ******* like many guesthouses tend to be; the balance is just right, modern with an artistic feel. It's a place that literary and artistic youths would surely love, with many photo hot spots.
Quzhen (曲珍）was my butler for this trip. She is an incredibly enthusiastic girl, providing very attentive service. She was responsive to every request and exceptionally thoughtful. When I felt unwell one day, she immediately arranged for an oxygen tube for me and checked on me regularly. She makes you feel at home. The other staff members are also very warm and friendly.
The hotel's location is absolutely top-notch, right next to the Songzanlin Monastery. It takes less than two minutes to walk to the side door.
The large floor-to-ceiling window in the room allows you to literally fall asleep looking at the Songzanlin Monastery. It's a highly recommended hotel.
If I have the chance to come to Shangri-La again, I will definitely return here. Quzhen (曲珍）feels like a friend waiting for me to come back in Shangri-La. It combines the facilities of a design hotel with the warm service of a guesthouse.
I have a few minor suggestions for the hotel: Next time I return, it would be wonderful if there were a few sun-beds on the terrace at the left of the restaurant. Lying there, sunbathing, reading a book while gazing at the Songzanlin Monastery would be super chill. Also, I think the breakfast could offer some Western options, such as bread, fried eggs, sausages, sandwiches, yogurt, coffee & tea etc. Afternoon tea could also be a nice addition.
As for the room facilities, everything is very good. It has diffuse oxygen, a humidifier, and many books for reading. It would be perfect if some seating cushions could be added to the bench next to the window along with a small tea table and tea set.
In conclusion, the entire experience was excellent. Thank you to every staff member at the hotel, especially Quzhen(曲珍）. I hope to have the opportunity to see you again – my friend in Shangri-La.

GGuest UserThe service was excellent; the staff, especially the younger members, were incredibly warm, helpful, and even assisted with luggage. The rice noodles for breakfast were also delicious. The room's heating was very effective, making the bedding wonderfully warm and comfortable. They even provided a generous plate of complimentary fruit, including pre-cut watermelon and washed Shine Muscat grapes. The ancient city is super convenient to reach, just a few minutes' walk away. For those looking to rent an electric scooter to cycle around Napahai Lake, there's a rental shop conveniently located just a short walk down the slope from the hotel entrance.

JJalanWe have a good experience staying at this lovely Hotel. Well decorated, so green and distance to Dukezong old city within minutes.
Plus point:
- Two ladies at front desk are so helpful, arrived at hotel and they help to carry the bags and provide free Fruits as promised. They must be very strong with this high altitude.
- Provided breakfast with Yunnan noodles which is yummy. Although they just open at 8.30 for breakfast, but they let us eating before 8.30
- you can also do your ethnic clothing with make up inside the hotel
- before the check in, they have communicated with us through wechat. They even try to fix my wechat of which suddenly cannot login. Although at the end still cannot login but Thank you for the effort

MM279123****Traveling with a large family of eight, including seniors, we initially booked an oxygen-enriched B&B. However, we found that the Wyndham hotel was similarly priced and included breakfast, so we switched to this one. The location is excellent, right next to a hospital, which is very convenient if anyone experiences altitude sickness. The hotel is clean and hygienic, the breakfast is plentiful, and the rooms have humidifiers, which is a nice touch.
