Great
GGuest UserThe location is incredibly convenient—just 5 to 6 minutes from the Bus Interchange, New Regent Street, and Riverside Market, and only 2 minutes from the main shopping district. The room is spacious and clean, with a wonderful view from the hotel window.
MMissTacoPros: Great location and artistic atmosphere.
Necessary amenities are provided including toothpaste, toothbrush, gym, 20 parking spaces and a free bar area (hot, cold, sparkling water, capsule coffee, tea and cookies) at the lobby.
Cons: The Deluxe room is clean but a bit tiny if you 3 luggages.
GGuest UserWe arrived in Christchurch around 9 PM, and the young lady at the front desk gave us a very warm welcome. Checking into such a lovely hotel on our very first day in New Zealand left a truly wonderful impression.
AAxinwukongThe location is fantastic! It's convenient for getting everywhere. The cathedral is right downstairs, and it's not far from the lakeside market or the Cardboard Cathedral, all within walking distance. The sightseeing bus stop is also close by, and the Avon River gondola rides are nearby too. Taking a taxi to the Botanic Gardens, the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts, and the art gallery isn't far either. Both New Brighton Pier and Sumner Beach are about 10 kilometers away by taxi, similar to the distance to the airport, and Uber fares are reasonable. Overall, I'm satisfied. Just a minor note, it seemed like the shampoo and other amenities weren't checked and might have run out without being noticed.
LLiujiaoshouThis is a pretty good hotel in Christchurch. The service was very warm and attentive, and the facilities were decent. It's very close to the Botanic Gardens and Art Gallery, just a short walk away. Overall, a good experience.
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is great. The service was partly friendly, but my bed sheets had some red stains, and the milk in the fridge had gone bad (it was already like cheese in consistency).
I complained the next day because I only noticed the issues when I went to bed late, and nobody was at the reception. The response I received was that they could have changed the room, because they have 24hours workers. I didn’t receive a real apology or any gesture, such as offering breakfast, to make up for paying almost €200 per night.
Considering the rate, I expected a higher standard of cleanliness and customer care…
GGuest UserVery convenient location. Modern and stylish albeit smaller sized room; we were there for 5 nights and it suited what we required. If you get a chance, Sakimoto next door and Twenty Seven Steps nearby were outstanding restaurants. The Kate Sheppard house tour was also a highlight.
PPhilippa16Check in was super easy. Very handy to where we needed to be. The room was toasty warm. Super comfy bed. Breakfast was incredible. Definitely want to stay again.
11331167****This hotel was a pleasant surprise on our New Zealand trip. It was the cheapest accommodation, with a two-bedroom suite costing less than 2900 for two nights. I was amazed by how spacious the room was. The duplex suite had incredibly high ceilings. The first floor featured a living room, kitchen, and a guest bathroom. The two bedrooms were upstairs, with the master bedroom having an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub. The washing machine and dryer were located in the downstairs bathroom, which had a walk-in shower. The kitchen was large, but you'll need to bring your own seasonings. They provided plenty of tea bags and a carton of milk. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, and while there was no air conditioning, the heater kept us very warm. There was a heated towel rack, and towels were changed daily. The shower pressure was incredibly strong – enough to wash you away! The location is fantastic, very close to the shopping area, and both major supermarkets are within a 15-minute walk, making it ideal if you're not driving. It's also about a 15-minute drive from the airport, and a taxi (for larger luggage) cost 45.
CCherrytkyThe staff is friendly and nice, also considerate as he gave us a downstairs room, so that we don’t need to drag the luggage upstairs as no lift.
The room is tiny and cozy but comfortable. However, there is only 1 chair, which is not enough to sit for two people. And it’s a bit noisy, we can hear the sound from the rooms next to us, even can hear people talking.
It’s okay and an economic choice for a one night stay. The location is good and near to city and only 30 mins drive to airport.
