Green Hill Hostel & Tour

The tour was good, Ha Giang is busy but understandably. The scenery is beautiful and it's a unique experience to travel through rural Vietnam. Our tour guides from green hill were nice, but I feel they could have done more to be actual tour guides, instead of just letting us wander around. They kept of safe on the bikes but it was still terrifying. I'm not much of a drinker but they were extremely pushy all three nights about taking shot after shot, my partner felt so pressured she made up a lie about pregnancy just so they would leave her alone. The hosts of the green hill hostel were extremely accommodating and helpful, above and beyond service from them.

My husband and I have just had the most amazing few days doing the Ha Giang Loop. The service and communication from the start was faultless. We stayed in a private room at Green Hill Hostel and had the most fantastic food the first evening, ( I am Coeliac so annoying to cater for!). We then had 3 days with Binh who was funny, attentive and a great Wnglidh speaking guide. We wanted a small group as many other tours offer large groups which are not nearly so personable. The bikes were great and we stayed in lovely accommodation en route, all was fab and couldn’t recommend it more.

This was the best adventure of my life! The Ha Giang Loop went far beyond my expectations – everything was perfectly organized. Delicious food, amazing and super friendly drivers, comfortable accommodations, and flawless planning. Every single day was filled with breathtaking views and a wonderful atmosphere. Huge thanks to the whole team – thanks to you this experience will stay with me forever ❤️ Highly recommended to everyone!

All of the drivers were very friendly and took great care of me and my friends. Binh was particularly amazing and made the trip extra special. I am so happy that I had the opportunity to go on this trip, and I would recommend this trip to anyone. Tip: bring cash.

The best part of my stay was the hostels and hospitality that the drivers gave us. The views from the bikes were beautiful. Being able to have stops around the loop was awesome. The food was a little shaky but you get used to it. Awesome experience and a lot of fun

I definitely recommend Green Hill Hostel, my sister and I just spent three days on the loop with two very good drivers and great men. We were in a very small group, just the two of us. Everything was very well organized and we just had to let us go. Nothing to add ! :)

This family run business has done an amazing job to organise our trip from Hanoi providing sleeper bus, all transfer and 3 day trip around the Ha Giang loop. Upon arrival to open arms and treated to a lovely local cooked meal with their signature 7yr "Happy water" or Corn wine. Cannot recommend their service enough, thank you so very much.

This was a wonderful experience. Our guides were amazing, they drove the road so well and always made sure we were comfortable. They were fun and hospitable and I cannot recommend them enough. The accommodations were nice and the food was great. Hoi was my guide and he was great!

We booked our Ha Ziang loop tour with Green Hill Hostel (reviewed separately) and stayed here before & after the trip. The owner Muong (sorry if spelt wrong) & her family couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming. She kept in touch before our arrival & picked us up from the Hanoi bus drop off point. No query went unanswered. Greenhill Hostel is on the outskirts of Ha Giang which makes it quicker to start the tour & quieter than being in town (except for the dogs next door). The grounds & gardens are lovely, so many birds & butterflies fluttering around. Also a little family chihuahua that will enthusiastically greet you & snuggle with you if you let it. We had a private room which was clean & comfortable with little balcony to sit out on. The private rooms seem to be set up on the hill away from the dorms. Breakfast was excellent, an eggy, cheesy French toast kind of dish. As Greenhill is family owned & run, by the end of your stay you do feel like part of the family. We were kindly invited to Muong’s beautiful home to have dinner with her family, friends & neighbours & were treated so warmly & kindly by everyone & the food was incredible. A definite highlight of our trip. Lovely experience & would stay with Greenhill Hostel & do their Loop tour again if ever back in Vietnam. Excellent experience from start to finish.
