Great place to stay and visit! We loved everything about Hacienda Guachipelin. The staff was amazing, the pool and poolside bar were lovely, the breakfast and dinner buffets were terrific, and the amenities (hot pools, waterfalls, walking paths) were spectacular. In hindsight, we would have booked a few more days here.

The horseback ride to Oropendola was fun. I was a little disappointed that we didn’t see any animals along the way. Also guide was non English speaking despite saying tour was in English. Still had a good time. The storm on the way back was awesome. We were soaked but it was worth it.

Excellent service. The food was really good. We loved being able to hike to the waterfalls and being so close to the National Park entrance. The only downside were the mosquitoes! We had so many bites.

We stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved everything about it . The stuff in the hotel Is top notch starting from the reception to restaurants to cleaning and security, everyone was so nice , helpful and some excellent English. We did the all day adventure tour and even added the Canyoning and photo package which was so good. We had so much fun on all the tours , but also got rained out in the canopy tour so only made it to 3 of the zip lines . However, since we stayed at the hotel they told us to go back the following morning and we got a private canopy tour with the photographer . Fio from the adventure center was so awesome to get it all work out for us . And the photos and videos that we got were so much better than the 2 GoPro cameras that we brought with us . If you are planning to do a bunch of activities I highly recommend staying in this hotel. Additionally, you get access hot springs and waterfall which were so good. This place is a real Gem , thank you so much for a wonderful stay and lifetime of memories. ❤️

This was a nice pace to visit. We were on the beaches for days, was a nice break to go to the mountains. Go hiking we saw many animals.

I actually went in August 2022 but forgot to leave a review. While isolated, this is a beautiful property , with good restaurants, beautiful grounds and friendly staff. A wide variety of activities to choose from kept us active the whole time.We really enjoyed our hike at the volcano, our horseback ride to La Oropendola Waterfall, and visiting the hot springs and mud bath! so fun. This was our first stop on a 2 week adventure and it was a great place to see when travelling in Costa Rica

My family of 5 truly enjoyed our experience at Hacienda Guachipelin!! The staff were friendly, the rooms were modern and clean, and we were amazed by all of the incredible amenities and attractions that came with our stay! We only stayed for one night, we spent an entire day exploring. We truly loved the Hot Springs and mud bath, and the hike/walk to Oropendola waterfall is a must, so magical! We also hiked around the national park, the entrance is just past the waterfall. We had an incredible day! We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back!
