Consistently one of the best kaiseke meals you can get anywhere in Japan. Rooms are huge, beautiful and incredibly relaxing. An easy recommendation.

I can't say enough about how relaxing having my own private outdoor onsen was. The landscaping is so beautiful. I felt like I was in my own forest. Dinner and breakfast was also delicious and beautiful. Overall, it was the perfect escape.

As expected of a long-established inn, the a**osphere is generally good, and the staff are polite and well-liked. Unfortunately, it rained on the day, and my wife didn't want to get her hair wet, so we had to cancel the private open-air bath that we had reserved for 45 minutes for 3,300 yen, which was very disappointing, but they listened carefully to our wishes and handled the cancellation properly, so we were grateful. So we used the shared large bath, but we were able to use it almost as if it was our own. The large bath for men and women has two baths, a slightly hot indoor bath and a slightly cooler open-air bath, both of which have a moist feeling that soothes the skin. By the way, if you book a meal course, day-use bathing is free. The lunch course is a reasonable price of 7,700 yen per person, but this is the minimum course. However, it was worth the price, and each dish looked beautiful, tasted good, and was plentiful, so we enjoyed it very much overall. After the meal, we took a stroll through the garden under the umbrellas provided, and looked around the building, checking out the location of the open-air bath and other furnishings. The hotel is filled with items that fans will covet, such as photos and colored paper of past shogi players, which are associated with the inn's hosting of a shogi title match. We'll definitely book a stay here on our next anniversary.

Not worth the 130,000 yen accommodation fee for two people. We had no complaints about the hot springs or the food. However, we were unable to sleep satisfactorily in the top-class room, which was a traditional Japanese house style room. As time goes on, I am getting annoyed at the 130,000 yen price. I am beginning to feel that the hotel should evaluate itself and give us a refund. The purpose is for elderly people to sleep peacefully, but we couldn't sleep properly. 1. The inexplicable 1m square light in the tokonoma cannot be turned off. 2. The air conditioner on the ceiling makes a small noise that makes it impossible to sleep. 3. The fittings in the room are poorly fitted, and when you move the sliding doors, it makes a loud noise that makes it impossible to sleep. (The toilet is also poorly fitted.) 4. There is also no consideration given to the handrails.

Room, onsen, environment and food are very good. Staff service is slightly below expectation. Price is high and not matching the service provided.

From the time we were picked up at the parking lot to the time we were seen off when we left, we had a wonderful time.

This is the best inn, I want to keep it a secret from everyone! It's already famous... There are stairs and stone steps, so I think you need to ask in advance if you are using a wheelchair.

We checked into this lovely onsen resort for relaxation and respite after our long vacation. The facility is and grounds are beautiful. The staff are kind, English speaking and attentive. We intentionally booked a beautiful room with a private onsen with the hopes of relaxing before a long 13 hour flight home . Upon arrival in the room there was a group of toddlers shrieking and screaming for the first three hours. It appears they were having more of a pool party in the onsen just next to us sit. Repeated yelling, blood curdling screams and cannonballs into their onsen. For 900.00 a night we checked in and checked right out as the intent was to rest and relax and it was very clear we would not be able to do so. The children also kept banging on the wall next to our onsen. The staff said they could not reach the family and would not be able to ask them to quiet down.

・Solo travel OK: I am very grateful that even a high-end hot spring inn allows solo travel. ・Service: The staff are friendly and smile when they greet you. They are also very considerate and stylish. ・Access: Excellent, right in front of the station. It is on the Odakyu Main Line, so you can get there from Shinjuku in one go. ・View: It is wonderful to have such a large garden in a commuter area of the capital. It is at its best during the autumn leaves season. ・Furniture, etc.: The hallway is lined with heavy ornaments that give off a sense of history, and it is fun just to look at them. The hallway is filled with fragrant incense, which calms the mood. ・Facilities: The open-air bath is in a detached building. It has a nice a**osphere and you can relax in it. ・Food: All the food was delicious, and the tableware was lovely. ・Price: Of course it is not cheap, but considering the quality, I am satisfied and think it is good value for money. ・Reservation system: The official website was fully booked, so I applied through a certain foreign website. However, I heard later that there were actually some available reservations. That's the only thing that's hard to understand. I think it's rare to find a high-class hot spring inn that's easy to get to in the metropolitan area. It's a good distance from the city center, so it's perfect for a short trip. I'd like to come again.
