It's a very nice hotel, located in the center of the city. Beautiful design, the rooms are pleasant. The breakfast is good. Those who come with a car are advised not to park in the parking lot below the hotel, because it is expensive. We camped in a parking lot within walking distance (of course after dropping off our luggage at the hotel) on Geest Street 1. We had a less pleasant experience, our daughter felt sick, and they had no idea where to refer us and we were even sent to the emergency which turned out to have been closed for 3 years. So only health, and enjoy.

We had a great stay at Des Indes. Already before we came we had to change the date because of unforeseen personal circumstances. This was done without any problem. When we arrived we were recognized by the concierge as we stayed before. Impressive. Also at the reception the lady who changed the reservation came to ask how things are. The hotel has a very good atmosphere and the room was clean and had a wonderful bed. There was also a bottle of complementary Cava in the room. In the morning there was a very nice breakfast where you can take from the buffet, but also some menu options are available. We felt treated special by the staff of the Des Indes hotel and enjoyed our stay. Next time when we visit The Hague we will for sure go back to this hotel.

After reading the various negative reviews (after booking my trip!) I was mildly apprehensive about my stay here for a number of nights. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised to find the hotel very clean, although the check-in process was a time-consuming.mThe room iI was given was small but quite acceptable for my needs and quite clean. Once up in the room, I tried to call down to reception to clarify a minor issue. They ignored my calls. I rang 3-4 times over a period of 20-30 minutes, on one attemnpt, letting it ring for up to 10 minutes. No answer. I eventually found the information I needed in the small info-sheet after looking carefully. The next day, taking a day off from business, I wanted to stay in my room to write emails and so on, so I put out the 'please make up my room now sign at 8 am and went out for breakfast. There were 4 or 5 people in housekeeping on the floor, who, through the course of the day as I came and went, they, seemed have decided they should be doing every single room EXCEPT mine. I has to go to to reception again around lunch time as I found my key disabled. It took the gentleman on reception 25 minutes (I time this) just to be able to create me a new key, and there was no explanation other than ”the system is playing up”. Also at this time, I specifically asked if they would ensure my room was made up and I was assured he would contact housekeeping to make sure it would be done. I went out to lunch. I returned just before three, and the room remained unattended to. I went to reception, this time to register complain, and was quite brusquely told ”this is jsut because the housekeeping staff are busy”. Obviously so!! BNusy all day long doing every room apart from the only room with the ”please make up my room now ” sign hung on the door!! I asked to speak to the manager and was rebuffed. It was clear from the evasive response to my requrest that the receptionist did not want me to speak to the mana gera. After I said I really did want to speak to the manager I was told she wa s busy but would be along shortly. I expected him to do something to contact the manager such as pick up the phone or go to find her, instenad he simply started to ignore me and began to deal with another customer, which behaviour I found most discourteous. When I remonstrated about this he irritable stated taht ”I'm dealing with your problem by email -- you just can't see what I am writing on my screen”. 15 mins of this silent treatment passed I asked again for the manager and was told she was too busy to talk to me. I returned to my room, and housekeeping finally arrived at 1500. These service failings would be incompatible with a 3* rating hotel, but the ket to this thing is that these annoyances are all people related. it is not any indivudual issue-- these things are routine, and dealt with elegantly in even the cheapest of hotels. I expect more from a so-called 5 start property. I It is a real pity as the latest own

Great hotel, with quiet lobby. Handy automatic supermarket machine witch gets you food and drinks anytime you like. Staff is semi Dutch speaking but deliver a great clean and tidy hotel. Traveled for business, good location. Sea is just around the corner. Photos look the same as reality, so I won’t include photos in my review.

Great hotel, nice employee, fantastic service, phenomenal experience. I stayed there with a friend for a week, each day we left the hotel at the morning/noon before 11 am. Afterwards we got a cleaned room with new bathtubs and also the kitchen was refilled. The personal was cool. Would like to stay a bit longer

Spotless rooms with very nice toiletries. Only negative issue was the service in the reception. Hardly any smiles, you do not get a feeling that you are welcomed. I received a wrong invoice with a name of another customer when I rented a bike. However, the bike rental is otherwise very easy and the bikes are a good quality. If the weather allows I recommend to cycle to your destination. Excellent breakfast with a variety of gluten free and vegan options. You may also have a custom-made omelet.

Excellent
GGuest UserStayed here for 2 nights recently with my partner. As frequent travelers of netherlands to the various cities including den haag ,we had never stayed here before. Lovely experience overall with very pleasant and friendly staff. We had a garden view room(upgraded as club members) with everything you needed clean comfy bed, safe, big shower with toiletries etc and very quiet at night. Their was a complimentary breakfast included in the rate which was a buffet style but more than adequate with a selection of cold cheeses meats, cereals, pastries, teas coffees orange juice yogurts and boiled eggs. Decent coffee machine. Small little bar on site and ice machine in lobby. .We were given a late check out as we had a later flight which was truly appreciated . Excellently located for busisness or any of the visitor sites in den haag. We would definitely return and recommend.😀
GGuest UserCarla's service is great, Javier's smile is very warm, the scenery outside the window is very beautiful, the location is very good, to the Queen's Palace, the Knights Tower, the Parliament Building, the Moristine Royal Art Museum are all walking distance, too convenient
CcpjcpjcpjThis is not your father's Staybridge Suites; it it is much nicer than the chain you see in the USA. Very cozy and personable. I chose this hotel over others nearby because of its prime location, e.g., just a short stroll from the must-see Mauritshuis Museum. Some reviews mentioned parking as an issue; just follow the GPS in the car and you will do just fine. The turns are tight, yes, but there's plenty of space once you get to the hotel's level. Check-in was very smooth, thanks to the excellent, personable service provided by Denise. She is a real pro with the perfect personality for her job. Breakfast is a nice buffet spread with excellent fresh-brewed coffee. Rooms are not particularly large, but bear in mind this is an historic building. That said, I had a one-bedroom room on the back side and it was more than adequate and was very quiet for an urban hotel. Great water pressure in the walk-in shower.
GGuest UserOur bedrooms were clean and comfortable, with very comfortable beds. The hotel is centrally located, the buffet breakfast good. However, rooms overlooking the covered “Passage” shopping arcade have virtually no natural light and are noisy (cleaning starts early in the Passage and piped music is almost continuous when the shops are open!). We had two rooms, one overlooking the Passage and the other on the front of the building, which was slightly smaller but much more comfortable. Most frustratingly, we booked the hotel because it has a car park onsite but when we arrived we were asked if we drove an electric vehicle and told that as we do, we would not be able to use the car park as “electric vehicles are a fire risk”!!! This was particularly irritating because we had mentioned in our booking that we would be driving an EV. Disadvantages: no parking for EVs, rooms overlooking the “Passage” noisy and dark. Advantages: clean, comfortable beds, central.
GGuest UserComfy and cozy hotel, really nice to stay hotel. Close to the train station, equipped with everything you need. Tasted breakfast. Not the first time I have stayed in this hotel chain, recommended
GGuest UserWith spacious rooms, a very nice breakfast, and an absolutely amazing location, this hotel already has a lot going for it. The best, however, was the staff, in particular the receptionist on duty Tuesday April 4. After a tragic train accident, we had to take a different route, and on her own initiative, she told us about the situation, found alternative itineraries, and helped us on our way. Thank you so much! We’ll definitely be back!
GGuest UserHave used this hotel regularly for the past 3 years and found out that I had not reviewed the hotel yet. Location of the hotel is excellent since it is next to the central train station and most of tram lines next to the hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful Positive is that they now fill up the minibar every day 😄😄😄 Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds Cleanliness has improved and is excellent. Nespresso machine in the room is always a plus. Never had any mentionable issues with this hotel. Will continue to use it. Breakfast is good but a bit expensive if you only want a small bite for breakfast and a cup of coffee. Thanks to the staff 👍👍
GGuest UserI was staying 5 nights. I had originally booked for 3 but wrote to reception back in November I wanted to extend the stay to 5 nights. I did ask should I just make a new reservation and they said no, it was recorded. This was confirmed as was the new price. When I arrived at reception, they had no record of my 5 night stay and I had to find the email to confirm both the extension and the remaining nights to pay. The person was lovely and sorted it out, but I felt a bit strange about it. Then after the 3rd night I received an automatic check out message so I checked with reception and they thought I was checking out and I had to go through the whole thing again. I had already paid so I explained that too. Anyway perhaps a note could have been added or something on the system. The location was perfect. I felt safe walking around at night and it was very convenient for the Amare centre. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot and the shower was a good size. I liked they had some BBC channels. I think on day 4, the wifi was down. This is not reception’s fault but it was out for probably 30 hours. This seems quite odd in a major hotel for it to be out for so long. Unfortunate but it was fixed eventually. Staff were nice. Lifts worked well.
GGuest UserFabulous hotel, walkable from the station, half hour Hotel rooms were spacious, bed matresses were the best I have found and so was the pillows. The staff were incredible helpful.Lovely surroundings and fabulous shops in nearby ”Passage” The breakfastwas fabulous, with pastries and ham/cheeses and coffee machine. Lovely bread. The reception area had comfortable seating with delicious coffee/tea available all day, unlike many hotels. Close to all the sights
GGuest UserWent for a weekend getaway with my partner, and found The Social Hub to be both affordable and comfortable. The rooms are neat and well-maintained, although the bathrooms are somwhat small. I especially like how much natural light there is. We had very friendly interactions with staff as well as with other guests. While The Social Hub isn't exactly cheap, hotels in The Hague just tend to be expensive, and this is close enough to the lowest prices that I'd happily recommend it.
