Didn’t like the fact that we booked for 2 nights, and only stayed one because of the lousy bed.
Spoilt a day in Hahndorf.
Guests have been complaining about beds for 12 months.
Responses say they are replacing mattresses, we must have been on the end to be done.
Thankfully, Management were kind enough to refund our money.
Stayed here quite a few times also with nterstate guests and had no trouble

Rooms were in need of a little maintenance and noises could be heard from car park, especially in the morning as people & staff were about! Our stay though was good, great spot In Hahndorf for seeing things, shopping, eating and just wandering.

It was a very “standard” property. Everything was very clean and staff were helpful when we had problems with our room. The shower head was very old and not great. Nothing exceptional or terrible, just “standard”.

Me and my partner stayed here for one night as we were attending a function nearby. We stayed in room 67 which is in an ‘Executive Room’ and is located upstairs. The room was basic, outdated but okay. We ‘sunk’ into the bed which was not comfortable and the pillows are need of an urgent upgrade! The room had a balcony overlooking a metal roof which reflected heat and sunlight into the room and directly into our eyes. There was some noise throughout the night from people walking by. In the early hours of the morning, the electricity to our room cut out forcing the emergency light to activate and wake us up (noting that the electricity came back on quickly). Car parking is very limited so we had to park on a nearby side street. The hotel’s website self rates itself as 4.5 stars and I stress the rating is self rated which is inaccurate and misleading. The hotel is more deserving of a 3 star rating. The room served its purpose by proving a safe place to stay for the night. Nothing special.
