Delightful Inn

Great stay. The staff (young ladies) all aspired to speak English. This Airbnb is in prime location as it is just besides 骑楼老街and 10mins walk from their traditional dried seafood markets (good for Chinese aunties that love to buy dried seafood to cook). Hotel is located within Haikou fashion wholesale stalls - do bargain as the wholesalers are also doing retail business. The street food stalls are spread within the fashion wholesale *****, selling cooked Hainan noodles, timsum, seafood etc. There is a flight of staircase leading up to the Airbnb - but we just need to inform the receptionist and she will come down to help with luggage.

To get to the accommodations, you need to climb a narrow flight of stairs on the side of the building. After check-in, another flight of stairs to the rooms. No lifts. There is a small outdoor area for smoking on the 2nd floor. Our room was clean and came with a separate bedroom for couples, and 1 more queen bed in the "common area", and a shared bathroom. A TV in the common area, and a projection TV in the bedroom. Nestled at the intersection of the popular Qilou Old Street with lots of food and street shopping options. Transport is extremely convenient, call DiDi and the car stops at the main road downstairs. On Level 1 there is KFC fast food for a quick bite. Opposite the hotel is the famous clock tower monument and nice for an evening stroll along the river or morning run, and watching the locals doing mass aerobics with contemporary music.
