Hotel located at the transportation hub where Jr train and bus station and tram line was just across the road. Good size of room and bathroom for Japanese standard. I enjoyed the sunset with good view. Public bath was clean and good. Breakfast has good varieties. Only feedback is internet is slightly slow.Overall I enjoyed my stay.

As expected from a new hotel, it was clean and friendly and I was very satisfied. The breakfast was delicious, and most of all, the Korean staff member, HANURU, was there, so communication was smooth. The free shuttle bus is also very unique. It is a big hotel in Hakodate residential area. The nearest stop is Matsukaze CHO and the bus stop is Omori Cho. What a wonderful experience! We were amazed at the selection of fresh seafood for breakfast and dinner. This is by far the best hotel seafood buffet for sure! The facilities are clean, rooms are spacious and tidy, overall ambience is great! Onsen is nice and relaxing. It is a bit far away from JR Hakodate station and does require you to either take taxi or bus. The hotel was offering a small hotel shuttle at the time which was nice however must reserve with the hotel before hand. The lady driving the shuttle bus was very nice and even gave us some traveling tips for the local area! Thank you! Special thanks to Mr. Yoshida-san at the front reception. He had noticed that one of the shuttle times we had reserved was not available that day, so he took extra effort to make sure we made it to the earlier shuttle time to make it back to the hotel. Thank you Yoshida-san! I really would like to come back and stay at Umi to Akari soon. It was a wonderful experience! Wish the best of success to this hotel!

This was the perfect location to stay overnight on our trip between Asahikawa and Tokyo. We had travelled by train from Sapporo and were switching to the Shinkansen at Shin Hakodate Hokuto. We had booked a room with two beds which turned out to be either double or queen. We also hadn't realised that the hotel has an onsen, so this was a particularly nice surprise. The beds were good, and the Japanese style pillows were okay, too - sometimes they can be a bit hard, or too fat. The hotel is clean and modern with nice toiletries and yukata supplied. The only slight disappointment was that the restaurant was closed on the night we stayed (a Friday), but there is a Ramen restaurant downstairs in an adjacent shopping area, and this was fine.
