Very pleasant staff and food. There wasn't much of a kids menu but between starters and sides we russelled up a chicken ***** amd fries combo. Great big portions too. Would definitely visit again just a suprised it was quiet. Bit disappointed they added a surcharge when I was going to leave a tip. But overall recommend 👍

Awful, would never stay again. Room was in poor condition, dusty and dirty cushions on bed. TV didn't work (yes switch on tv was on). Kettle didnt work properly, only for 20 seconds at a time then stopped, took 10 minutes to get any warm water. Bathroom was dirty, no hot water in bath despite sink having hot water. Shower didnt work, but water cold anyways. You could hear everything from neighbours, paper thin walls. Only plus, bedding was clean and parking good. Go sleep in a travelodge or something, this place is dire

A group of 4 friends were looking for lunch on a Monday - many pubs/Restaurants do NOT open on that weekday. A phone call a week before accepted our booking and we had looked up the menu on their website. So far so good, but no mention of a 15% lunch-time discount not the 12% DISCRETIONARY service charge! Two shocks we Octogenarians were NOT expecting. On arrival in the front hallway was a table with leaflets scattered to whit - copy attached showing a 15% lunchtime discount. We had our meal and drinks, that were quite acceptable and no complaints other than portions were too large for some ? The bill arrived and it was only on the 2nd round the table check as to what each paid that we discovered the 12% DISCRETIONARY service charge and no 15% lunchtime special. I Later called the owner name not given and he replied " I expect you enjoyed your meal - we stopped the 15% in January and you will note the red cross (faded) running through that offer" - He went on to say he had stopped the 15% in JANUARY but a family member kept placing the pamphlets on the front desk. I have waited a week after he promised to look into it and nothing, so here is my review. We as a group lunch once a month around Kent & Sussex WE have in 2 years never come across such a weasel speak - wriggle room approach to excuses, I also have not come across any establishment charging 12% for basic service charge, nothing special in this case - and as if we should not have" enjoyed " our meal? The very mixed reviews on here from 5 - 1 and those "1" would be ZERO if it could done? Sprat to catch a Mackerel comes to mind here glib responses and not at all bothered about reviews ??

This is a strange place, it has potential but given the location - needs to excel to make people travel and sadly it is avaverge at best. The staff were friendly, the food was overpriced for the quality and the restaurant was deserted on a Thursday evening. To offer some fairness, the chicken burger had flavour but was at least £5 too expensive. There is a weird motel attached that looks like a horror film set. Once is more than enough.

Better than expected, with a name like buffalo Bills, thought it was going to be more themed, but really was not at all. (This was a positive thing) We booked as it was the nearest accommodation available near Lewes short notice. When we arrived it looked like a very established well Kept business, good kerb appeal. Aesthetically pleasing building. Very very quiet for a Saturday, car park almost empty. It’s location seems fairly remote. Receptionist very helpful, very welcoming and answered all of our questions. All staff very helpful, couldn’t fault anyone. Room looked liked it had recently had a refurb, and was perfectly adequate for our needs. Comfy bed, very clean and tidy. No issues. Some road noise, but expected on a busy A road. We ate in the restaurant, it was very early, so was almost completely empty. Only us plus two other tables. Service was prompt, food was good, Perfectly editable and a large portion. Overall happy, having read some of the previous reviews, not sure we stayed at the same place others as we encountered no issues. Only fault I would mention is that the place feels a bit confused over its identity. It’s buffalo bills, but some notices in our room, fire etc all stated the forge. Would stay again.

Yesterday on Sunday thought it would be fun to treat one’s family to a menu treat of Mexican food for a change , so ventured out into the wilds of Sussex to Halland, where Buffalo Bills Restaurant was conveniently located with good parking. The choice of mouth watering Mexican staples was excellent, washed down with some great beers and cider. Something different in a sea of carveries.

This was sold to us on your site as The Forge Hotel. This made it difficult to find- not even an employee knew it had been called this. Shabby room, no one at reception, room not cleaned over a two night stay, cold water only in the shower, not enough loo paper, only one mug for two people- I could go on and on. 3.5 stars - I don’t think so.

The owner is too ashamed to allow the council people who are staying to associate with each other, you can't speak to any other people who are staying if you are placed by the council. You can't really have guests in your room if you are placed by the council, you are made to sit on a wet bench to talk to visitors. Basic human rights are to have hot and cold water yet the bath water is so hot its like it come from a kettle yet if you are from the council you are told that you have plenty of time in the world to let it cool down just to have a bath. If you can't talk to no one or anything that is basic human rights taken away, if you do talk to people if you are staying as you are homeless you get threatened to be kicked out. This is not right the council place you somewhere living on just over £300 a month no shops nearby and a hotel with a restaurant that sells a meal for £15-20 how on earth can people survive
