I’m not hard to please. I like clean rooms, nice amenities and good customer service. This HI lacks on all. We checked in for a five day stay by a harried dad comforting a toddler in his arms. We came home yesterday to the room not being supplied with coffee/towels toilet paper and thought it was a one off. Met the housekeeping staff at 420 pm In The hall and got said items. Today we came back to our room after a long day to find no housekeeping again. Down to the desk I go, told due to COVID, housekeeping only available by REQUEST! No fresh towels. No garbage emptied. No toilet paper. No coffee… I’m on the app… no mention of said rules on it, no mention by the dad at checkin and no mention on my email. Fine, I request for tomorrow, ask for towels and coffee. Was delivered without facecloths, have to ask housekeeping in the morning and we go to bed. 11:40pm room phone rings and front desk is asking if they gave me keys when they delivered towels. So now it’s 11:36 pm, I’m tired and cranky and making this review while all details are fresh. Will not book here again and sorry I’m here for another night.

The geographical location is in the industrial area, relatively biased, there is no commercial dining around. The hotel has a wide range of facilities, good sanitation and spacious rooms, especially suitable for families and breakfast. But I don't know why, I encountered a strange thing. At 7:40 in the morning, I was still asleep, I was awakened by the violent knocking of the door. I knocked on the door for more than a minute. My mother didn't dare to open the door because of language barrier. Waiting for me to open the door and ask, the result is a cleaning person, she said nothing, just look at the room? ? ? ? At that time, I still didn't wake up. When I went out, I saw her again. I specifically asked if there was anything. She still said this, I was a little angry, and there is such a service! When I checked out at the front desk of the hotel, I reported the situation to the front desk. As a result, the young male waiter at the front desk did not answer the phone. After saying it several times, I was very vaguely saying sorry! Because of this, my stay experience is very bad, and now it’s still somehow

Only stayed for one night but it was worth using my points! First time ever in George town and i was there for a meeting. Everything surpassed my expectations... The staff are really polite, the room was super clean, the grab and go breakfast was good. Cant say enough good things about this Best Western... And thats why its definitely my new favorite would recommend to anyone. 10/10

I usually don’t write reviews but in case any of you are immunocompromised or care about cleanliness, I felt that I should warn you. I ended up have a nightmare of a stay for a few hours here. I was in town for my grandmother's funeral. I arrived quite tired after my flight and having worked earlier. Initially, things were fine. Check in went smoothly and quickly thankfully. I reserved a one bedroom suite. All I wanted to do was eat dinner, shower and sleep. After dinner arrived via uber eats, I ate in the living area and watched tv. About two hours into my stay, I went to the washroom and noticed a hair on the folded towels. Gross. I went over to the bed and noticed hairs on the top blanket and pillowcase. I lifted the blanket and found more hairs. Clearly, a new blanket and linen was not placed on the bed. Instead, I imagine the staff just remade the bed using the linen the previous guest used. I also noticed a stain on the top blanket and one of the pillowcases. So I went down and spoke to the front desk. The guy there had a hoodie on, I didn’t get his name, I guess the hoodie covered the name tag. I told him about the hairs, he seemed surprised, look at the computer and said there aren’t any other rooms available. I told him, “that’s fine, I would like to just leave. Please cancel my reservation.” He then became rude and said “you checked in two hours ago, if you had told me right away, I could have done something. I can’t cancel your reservation.” I tried to explain to him that I had been eating dinner and didn’t think to immediately inspect the linen and towels when I first got to the room. Because when paying over $300 CAD a night for a hotel room, I like to assume that the room will be clean. I guess that was my mistake. He started talking over me and repeating himself over and over. I kept trying to explain, “I don’t want another room. I want the rest of my stay cancelled.” I had reserved the room for three nights. But he just continued talking over me. Finally, I told him I would call customer service and left. It was very upsetting conversing with someone so rude and unapologetic. Back in the room, I called customer service. The agent I spoke to was very kind and apologized despite it not being her fault. She agreed that I should be able to assume that the room would be clean and shouldn’t need to inspect the bed and towels when I first get to the room. She unfortunately couldn’t cancel my stay since it was still active and said that the hotel staff would have it cancel it. She said she would send a message to the hotel to let them know of the cleanliness issue. I then looked for a new hotel to stay at and fortunately found one close by and left. As I was leaving (this was about 3 hours after arriving), I saw a different guy at the front desk. I gave him my keys and told him I was leaving and to please check me out. Even though it was under construction, the room I stayed in was absolutely beautiful. Definitely one of the best rooms I've booked and will be staying here again in the near future. Happy customer.

Great stay at a nice, new modern hotel. Room was comfortable. Got “upgraded”to one of the larger rooms with 2 queens at check in. Lots of space for me and my family, and the kids could watch 1 tv, while the adults watched the other. Plenty of free parking. Lots of restaurants in the immediate area. Breakfast buffet was fine. The only thing I would add is that the pool could have been a bit warmer. Dorothea at the front desk was amazing! Will stay again if in the area…

My Wife and I stayed at this hotel last month and it was absolutely the WORST hotel we've ever stayed in. I'm still in shock that this is a Marriott brand in this time we are living in. I booked a Jacuzzi suite to hopefully get my hard working wife some much needed time away and weekend of pampering. When we arrived in the room it was an average clean room, We began doing our own sanitization which is normal to do in these times we're living in but, we very quickly realized that the cleaning we were doing was not enough. I went to the store and bought some more cleaning products to do my own cleaning. I was trying hard not to call the front desk to have someone come in and clean the room but the shocker was when we turned on the water and started to fill up the tub, we then started seeing these black things floating around in the tub which can be seen in the pics. I then called and asked what will be done, they offered some discounts and a room change but they had no more jacuzzi rooms. We decided to go with the change. We switched rooms and ran out to get something to eat. When we returned we did our walk around to check cleanliness. All the other pics besides the tub was from the new room we got. HAIR WAS EVERYWHERE!! found a hat under the table, hair on the sheets, hair on the towels, We were in total shock that we had issues with the first room, you'd think they would make sure the next room would be in great condition, but we decided to go and buy our own sheets and blankets and cover everything and then throw it out the next morning. They did give us the room at no cost after all the problems we had but I felt compelled to let anyone thinking to book this hotel to BEWARE! We will NOT be coming back to this hotel ever!!! My wife's friend stopped by as well for a few hours and when she returned to her vehicle and started her car, it was very loud. Come to find out when she began driving she could get her car over 20km/hr she brought it to the dealer the next day and found out someone tried to steel her catalytic converter while she was parked at the hotel. We were so embarrassed that that happen to her while she was visiting. My weekend of pampering my wife was an absolute disaster. My message to management is it's still COVID and extra effort should be made to clean and sanitize rooms and there should be no exceptions. IT WAS DISGUSTING!!!!

***** WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER ***** I have now witnessed the most incompetent guest service at a hotel ever. My background is Hotels. I worked at Claridges one of the most prestigious five star hotels in London England with Gordon Ramsey as our executive chef. I also worked as the head concierge at The Rimrock Resort Hotel in Banff as some examples. We were trained properly to go above and beyond a guests expectations. Upon arrival we waited over two and a half hours to get checked in as we were the only ones there at the time. Unfortunately due to the horrible management of this property they left a new team member on the front desk that had only been working there for a week. (complete failure on their part) He was absolutely lost and even said while he was dealing with me that he was going to have a heart attack or commit suicide after his shift. He was so flustered trying to get any kind of help from management on the phone. Finally the night auditor showed up and was able to check-in the backlog of guests sitting around the lobby. We had a confirmed booking for 2 Queens beds and upon our arrival into our room it was a king and sofa bed. I went back down to the lobby and they said that they would deal with it in the morning as the manager would get back to me about the room and our experience the night before. (I'd also just had back surgery 5 weeks prior) Our rate for the two Queens was 169 per night. After a Week (not the next day as promised) I finally received a call from the hotel operations manager Nalini Cackryanathen about my experience. She explained I would also not qualify for the 169 as we had a king bed and would have to pay 229 instead? ***? WE BOOKED AND HAD CONFIRMED TWO QUEEN BEDS with a confirmation number. In the end they offered a free night voucher to the hotel - NO CHANCE WE WILL GO BACK EVEN FOR FREE. I asked for the owners email so I could explain what is going on in his hotel and they refused saying he's not hands on and isn't really interested in the daily operations of his property? 🤯 I guess it comes from the top down!
