Novotel Hamburg Central Station (Neueröffnung) Reviews

I am not surprised with Novotel. A regular customer by them. The location is good close to everything. The hotel cannot be faulted it was all seamless stay.

New hotel with a big room sufficient for 3 of us. Since it coincide with the start of Euro 2024, the hotel seem to be packed and their service standard was not at the peak.

Location is relatively central and within walking distance to Jungfernsteig shopping district, 5 min drive from Alster Lake. The hotel is relatively new and clean, well maintained. There is a Nespresso machine in the room however there was no hot water kettle. When queried, the staff said to just use the Nespresso machine for hot water or drink water from the tap! Only sparkling water bottle was provided, if you want to buy a bottle of still water, it will cost EU7.00 (no thank you)!

Fresh of renovation, rooms clean, friendly service and good position.

The location is very close to the station. The room has enough space, but we were assigned to a room at the end of the second floor. The room had a strong smell after renovation. It was very bad. The window had to be opened to disperse it. The quilt on the bed was obviously stained. , there is no air-conditioning. It is too hot at night and you have to open the windows for ventilation. However, the floor is too low. There is construction work downstairs in the morning and the noise will wake you up. It is also very spacious. The room includes a table and other facilities. It's dust.

The location is very convenient, but the new decoration still has a bit of smell. The staff is quite enthusiastic. Except for the front desk, the rest of the staff almost do not speak English and can only answer in German.

The air conditioning in our room (215) was broken and we couldn't sleep because it was too loud and cold in the room. I reported the problem to reception three times and only when I was there in person did the hotel staff react. To solve the problem, they offered us two other rooms at 2:00 a.m. Very unprofessional.

Very modern and new, nice rooms, service still needs to be improved (long waiting times at check-in etc.)

I like Hamburg very much. This hotel is very good, very quiet, very clean, and there is no special smell. The location is also very good, and it is very convenient to take a taxi. If I go there next time, I will book this hotel again.

Business hotel located an easy walk from the railway station. Typical Novotel - a chain one knows what to expect - with a good breakfast offering and pleasant staff who found some extra decaf pods for the coffee maker for me. Just across the road from Saturn if you fancy some retail therapy :-)

New hotel, clean rooms and good location! That’s as much as you can have, unfortunately. With the exception of Maria, front desk, the team is unfriendly and unhelpful - to say the least! Honestly, I am not sure they know what they are doing or what customer service means! We were told breakfast would start at 06:30h, to come down at the given time, to watch the team running around to get things sorted! The cherry on the cake, however, was the barman. I had the restaurant menu on my hands and ordered a given food to him, to be said I could not have it in the bar. Fair! Then, got the bar menu and was speaking to one of his colleagues to order something else to be told: “You've tried with me and now you are doing the same with my colleague?” Manners??? ... No where to be seen!

Hmmm, it’s a near-brand-new hotel… and it shows. The room and bathroom were immaculate. In fact, the huge shower room felt quite palacial. Lots of glitches that I’m sure will be addressed over the next couple of months. (1) Nespresso machine sits perfectly on a cabinet but there is no electrical socket so the machine had to be moved onto the floor across the room. (2) No milk/creamer, so we had to trek to reception. (3) Safe inoperable as it was locked shut (4) Despite given two room keys we were advised that we should always use the same one for the lifts otherwise it causes problems. Great location so close to the station. Lovely breakfast - very typical Novotel selection. Definitely recommended

The hotel is new new few weeks ago it’s really nice desgin , Amzing staff very nice The best one is David he us really exclusive person ever I really recommend this hotel to stay it’s good in location & price very close to everything in center & restaurant
