Rosedon

Small boutique hotel that has captured our hearts. The position of this hotel affords easy access to Hamilton by foot. The Huckleberry Restaurant run by Chef Damien and his kitchen has competence, creativity, flavor and attention to detail for breakfast, lunch and dinner! They went above and beyond to help me with food selections that accommodated my allergies. Every morning our family met on the gorgeous veranda for breakfast. Try all the dishes they are superb . The pool area and lounge areas are beautiful! At the heart of every great hotel is its staff. From management to their support staff they are the ones that remember your name and ask how you are doing and can they help in any way. Outgoing and thoughtful. We are already planning our next family get together next year here.

The Rosedon is a combination of classy and cozy. It has an old school classic sophistication, but with all the modern amenities. Mere feet from bustling streets, it's porch, gardens and pool area are quieting sanctuaries for modern day worries. The food here is outstanding and we took advantage!!! My wife and I would like to shout out to Homer, who answered all of our questions regarding things to do (...and details on how to get there), Mathew who took care of transportation and our drink order which he personally delivered to the pool area. Lovely Marian who dutifully queried our plane info and arranged pickup and drop-off for the airport (navigating our many JetBlue woes). York and Daniel who were our breakfast heroes. I am only embarrassed to not recall our excellent waiter Saturday evening (we were room 10), but would like to recognize him. Our "people" experience at the Rosedon begs for a return visit sooner than later.

Stopped in for afternoon tea and met the most amazing person who provided the best service. Mr. Cole Simmons is an absolute gem, his warm and welcoming personality fits in perfectly with the Rosedon charm. Recommend anyone to visit. It’s a must!

The service and personnel at The Rosedon are fantastic, and they put The Princess across the road to shame. The Huckleberry restaurant has an interesting and choice menu, and the location is really great.

Rosedon is a beautiful hotel and it’s staff are a credit to the hotel. Personally I would have liked larger pillows on my bed but it didn’t affect my enjoyment. My travelling companion has mobility issues so an easier access to the ground level rooms and swimming pool would definitely be a welcome improvement. Personally I missed afternoon tea on the balcony but I realise it wouldn’t be for everyone. A great holiday

Lovely hotel perfectly located within easy walking distance to the center. The staff was super accommodating and the breakfasts included were substantial. Rooms were a very good size with nice amenities. Will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful week at the Rosedon and for the first time in my life I didn’t want to come home. The hotel is charming and classy and very comfortable. The gardens are stunning and I adored the pool which we had to ourselves most of the time. Damien the manager is an absolute star - and he is cheerfully supported by Peter, Andrew, Joel, Terita, French and the wonderful Craig (who oozes happiness and smiles) - and the charming man who cleans the pool and Kibbles the cat - this is a team that gives 110% every single day! Please don’t change a single thing. Thank you for everything……we love you!

The hotel is lovely and staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and modern. The grounds and gardens are lush and gorgeous. HOWEVER - our toilet didn’t flush, but they immediately sent someone to fix it and when it was unfixable they gave us a different room. Unfortunately, in the second room the AC stopped working on second night. Some travelers would blow a gasket over this but we know this was an anomaly. (I will say though, it would have been nice if we were offered something for the inconvenience, like a free drink at Huckleberry at least. I guess they don’t appreciate easy-going guests. Ha!) Good, convenient location.
