We booked into this hotel for an overnight stay for a wedding and didn't have any expectations other than a comfortable room. The room was ok if you overlooked the poorly fitted cabinet doors and the alarming leak from the kitchenette faucet toward the electric(!) cook top. The fun began when I got home and discovered I left my shaving kit behind. I called the property as soon as I discovered the oversight (on Saturday, the same day we checked out), and was directed to the voicemail of the housekeeping supervisor. I left a detailed message, confident that I would soon be reunited with my kit. Two days went my with no word, so I called again (it was Monday around 2 pm at this point), was shunted to the housekeeping supervisor's voicemail again, and again left a detailed voicemail message. Crickets. I resorted to calling the property's manager. Voicemail again, but I did receive a return call within a couple of hours. An hour later, the voicemail from the housekeeping supervisor: No sign of the shaving kit. A priceless heirloom? Nope. Irreplaceable? Nope. It has been my faithful travelling companion at home and abroad for several years so I am sad to lose its company. I'm more sad that a hotel's staff isn't motivated to reunite guests with their forgotten property. Guests forgetting stuff happens all the time - we've done it and in every instance we've been reunited with our things. This is the first instance I can recall where we weren't. So if you stay here, I have two pieces of advice: First, don't leave anything behind. Second, try the waffles - they're pretty good.
