Yacht Club Villa 13. We have previously been frequent travellers to the island where we have stayed anywhere from The Reef View Hotel to smaller apartment We decided to stay at the Yacht Club as it has been a dream of ours for a while and we saved and decided to spurlge for my husbands 50th. The standards we were met with this villa were beyond disappointing and the owners need to be aware that the Villa and the money we have been charged is unacceptable. We understand that there are high volumes of people renting these places constantly but we are so upset that this villa simply was not worth the money we paid. It really upset us and our celebrations. The cleanliness was unacceptable. - Dirty cupboards. - In particular in ensuites. - Thick dust behind toilet in master bedroom. - thick dust in grooves of main ensuite lighting ledges. - Grime behind the sinks. - Shower heads filthy. Unacceptable wear and tear. - Broken fridge door. (This is also a complaint on your reviews page so no one has acted on fixing it. - Fridge smelt like fish. - broken cupboard where mugs are kept. Broken door is sitting on the overhead cupboard so no one has attempted to fix it. - main siding table clearly needs upgrading - scratches all over it. - kitchen cabinets dents and chips everywhere. - curtains in main bedroom broken. - outdoor furniture from main bedroom is actually pitiful and nothing like the photos you advertise. There were no lazy boy chairs as advertised on your website and the two piece setting was disgusting. That huge balcony to sit and a worn out chair and table? - sink in second floor bedroom - once you out the plug down it’s impossible to release and the sink was dirty (overflow hole) - toilet on ground floor does not flush properly - no hot water when we arrived -main ensuite shower seal broken so the shower floor constantly leaked the whole week. - not enough towels when we arrived. We would not normally complain and very easily pleased when travelling to Hamilton Island. We have since seen other villas advertised for $1500 per night that our friends were staying in. Their villa had much nicer furniture as did other villas and a lot less wear and tear. I don’t mind paying this money for luxury accommodation as advertised but it was far from Luxury accommodation as advertised and booked through HIHA.

Stunning views in a good location on the island. Stayed in villa 14. Could do with lots of TLC and restocking of items. Nothing major but a long list of things needing repair or replacement. Several missing tiles around the pool, Nespresso machine broken, AC on second level not working replaced with 2 portable one which you couldn’t use at night as too noisy. For the price I wouldn’t recommend.

Villa 17 is tired. Not enough kitchen utensils no knives, no ice bucket, no salad servers, mismatched plates. BBQ old and broken. Beds old and lumpy, no hot water for 3 days, only one buggy. Premium price at $1870 per night for two people, not worth it

Most recently, we stayed at villa 36 but we have also stayed at 32 before - we have found that generally all of the yacht club villas exude luxury and comfort, always making our trip very enjoyable. Villa 36 had a gorgeous interior, lots of dark wooden features and beachy bohemian accents. The 4 story house with 4 bedrooms used its space very efficiently to be the perfect beach getaway location for bigger family groups. There were minor maintenance issues at #36 - leaking vents in bathroom, broken handrail on one of the staircases, blocked sink - but these could all be fixed easily. It might benefit the owners to do a bit of a spruce up and check everything is working perfectly and in good nick. Location is everything, and with its' being situated right off of the main street, we found it extra convenient - even though 2 buggies were also included which was a bonus. The views from the villa are insane - the perfect spot to watch sunrises and sunsets. The private pool for the villas is one of a kind and the views right out onto the ocean are absolutely priceless. I could not recommend the yacht club villas more. Also I want to add that the cleaners are very lovely and will come and refresh during the middle of a 7 day stay.

The villa is well positioned and very well presented. The size of the villas will be great for family or a group of friends. It has 2 double bed rooms with ensuite and a double bedroom with a family bathroom across the small hall and a massive master suit with an amazing view at the top of the house. The dishwasher was not working when we arrived but was fixed with in hours of the phone call to maintenance. And instruction manual for the cooker would be very handy as we could not work this out so spent most of the time it is out . Also a map of this villa would be useful as the pool is hidden away between two Villars and unless you’re looking for it you would not be able to find . Punchbowl that is advertised as part is down on the lower level with the two bedrooms however is only accessible through the bedrooms which meant no one used it because we didn’t want to walk went back through the bedrooms. Saying all of this Estate was amazing we had a fantastic holiday and every couple which was witnessed enjoying the villa was very spacious and we never felt as if we are on top of each other and that was for couples the kitchen area was well used with our coffees or cocktails and breakfast the living area is very spacious and everyone sat down very comfortably with definitely visit again.

Unit 26 Yacht club apartments JANULA ...DONT GO THERE was TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE Hamilton island $8500 for a week Started off picking up the buggy , in pouring rain it had no plastic sides , we asked for one with sides and were told the owner didn't opt for sides so we got Soaking wet . They gave us 2 towells to dry the sodden buggy seats , torrential rain every day Gave us a map , couldn't find the place after driving around Forty minutes found it, the Map they gave was useless and no signeage , there was a hidden entrance in a hedge , guest in buggy Leaving said the Villas are bad news , he's VERY disappointed Got there , was very dark and dingey oppressive decor with south african theme, strange for Australia. No waste paper bins in any bedroom . Just tiny metal bin in bathroom No power ....first morning , they said the buggy blew up the power board but eventually that was not considered the reason . If you open the double doors to go out on the deck the AIRCON shuts off , so nobody except me could work out how to reset it , NO MANUAL SUPPLIED on how to operate Lights, just a matter of turning on switches around the place on and off some hidden away to turn on a light We were locked out most days The electronic front door locks failed and they came 4 times with new ones , THE LOUNGE SUITE , you can't sit in it , it's so low to the ground hard to get out of and so deep it's not possible to sit in, (and 2 of the men were 6ft 5..) only able to lie down on it , so had to spend my time in my bed , and listened to the rat scratch in its nest behind the bed in the wall View , none from my bedroom , the tree has not been trimmed for a few years After 3 days the rinse aid for the dishwasher ran out . There was only 1 change of linen and towells in a weeks stay , Rat lives in the wall behind our bed, scratching a lot , cockatoos fly into the kitchen and peck a hole in the plastic rubbish bag and Fly away with a piece of bread. A crow arrives at 5.30 am on the balcony squawking daily to wake us up each day One day I'm in the shower I open the louvre window and a glass louvre fell out , lucky I caught it before it crashed into the bush below DINNER COCA CHU Got lost a lot IN PITCH black as few sign posts anywhere on the island , got to one restaurant Coca chu in the pouring rain and took half an hour once there using WAZE To find it . The hotel space it occupied had no name out the front , front desk was closed and eventually our daughters husband came to direct us to it , through a maze of gates and walkways , no directions anywhere how to find it . Food spectacular though our relatives went another night and were disappointed Rained most days and we got sopping wet in the buggy , as owner too stingey to have plastic sides on buggy ,and this was bad for our two grandchildren aged 3 and 8 The electricity went off everyday , we invited the electrician to stay with us as he usually came daily . The TV was alway

Very disappointed. Badly in need of maintanence. We stayed for 10 days for Race Week and not a good place to stay. Dirty when we arrived with blood stains on sheets and dirty towels still on the bathroom floor. This was fixed after complaining but the toaster didn't work, extractor fan over the stove didn't work, curtains coming off rails, carpets so dirty needed throwing out. I sent an email after our stay but No Response.

I was on Holiday and saw this poor girl coming back from Bob's Bakery and she look sick and unwell, I really want to know what's happening to staff behind the scenes. I am a regular customer on the Island and I will not be coming back if that's how they treat the staff
