Country Village at Jiminy Peak

Nice condos close to ski area have everything you need older but well maintained. Quiet and restful skiing wasn’t that great but you can save by getting a twilight ticket from 3 to 10 pm. Plan on going again.

Individual units poorly maintained. Especially with COVID more effort and not less should be put into the cleaning/sanitizing of each. Floors, bathrooms and kitchen appliances dirty and poorly maintained.

Jiminy Peak is in a beautiful area with lots of attractions and amenities on and off property, even off ski season. The front desk and maintenance people were all very desirous of being helpful, but in the end the resort failed to meet our expectation because of this incident: Internet service (Wi-Fi) in the unit was inoperable at the start. Maintenance staff tried hard but could not fix it all week. This was very inconvenient and time-consuming for us. Clearly the resort needed to call in an IT person and possibly replace faulty equipment, and we are disappointed that this didn't happen. This has taught us a lesson: When having wi-fi is important, on arrival always first go in and check that it operates properly in the unit, before unloading the luggage etc. into the unit and unpacking! The resort did offer to move us to another unit, but we had spent so much effort to settle in with all our stuff, during the hot weather -- 'sweat equity', literally...

Very Nice Place in a Beautiful area with a great skiing area but the unit had a few minor defects such as a loose front doorknob, cover falling off of jacuzzi tub, electric fireplace not working, toaster not working, outlet cover next to stove missing. The main issues I had was none of the electric heat thermostats worked properly and the main heater in the Living area which is a built-in electric blower heater was really loud and often drowned out the TV and making it hard to relax and unwind. Every time the heater turned on, I needed to turn up the volume and when it shut off, I needed to turn the TV down. The heater especially when it is really cold out turns on and off very often... They definitely need to upgrade to heat pump systems.
