Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts Properties in Hangzhou

I chose this hotel because it was featured as one of 'Asia's 100 Most Beautiful Views,' and it certainly lived up to expectations in every aspect. The biggest bonus was being upgraded to a river view room – the scenery was absolutely stunning! I could watch the City Balcony light show at 7:30 PM right from my room. We also experienced Hangzhou's misty weather, and it was incredible to see the view transform from being shrouded in fog to the lights slowly emerging as the mist receded at night. The room's window offered a perfect, parallel view of the river, truly a fantastic vista. I also visited the pool and gym, both of which offered great river and city views, making my workout even more enjoyable. Hangzhou has many hotels with great views, but this one felt exceptionally worthwhile. There aren't many places where you can lie in bed and enjoy the river view just by closing your eyes before sleep or opening them when you wake up. It's definitely better value than those hotels on the Shanghai Bund, haha. I didn't take many specific photos, and the casual shots I took while lying down don't do justice to the beauty; it's much better in person. The river view is excellent both day and night. The service was good, with Manager Zhang being particularly attentive. Breakfast was decent, typical five-star quality. However, I didn't realize that dinner at Jing buffet downstairs required a reservation; otherwise, you can't get in. I would have booked the breakfast and dinner option if I had known earlier. Coming out of the women's changing room at the pool, there were some scattered pebbles, possibly from nearby construction. This needs improvement, as it's easy to injure yourself if you're barefoot…

My stay was excellent. The staff members were very attentive, friendly and communicated in English. They kindly upgraded my room and helped me with my transportation arrangements after check-out. The restaurant and laundry service were also excellent. The hotel facilities are great.

I live nearby and stayed at the hotel about 2 years ago. I wanted a little staycation again, and I’m glad to say that it’s still a great place to stay at. The hotel is clean and tidy, bed comfortable. The service staff and front desk are absolutely helpful and accommodating.They always have a smile and are willing to help. I ordered room service, the food was good and the order took only 30 minutes. Breakfast was delicious , but the variety of pastries were limited this time. However I enjoyed everything and ate every bit of breakfast, the breakfast hosts were lovely and made a yummy hot latte. Something to note, is that the pool is managed by a 3rd party so they do have swimming lessons in the evening. I still enjoyed myself at the pool and look to join the swim classes soon. For foreigners looking for western food, you can find Commune/ meToo cafe ( hauxia) / wagas etc. around the area, it’s a nice place to walk around.
