Grand Hotel

The location, like other lakeside hotels, is pretty similar – very convenient for exploring West Lake. You can access the pier right out of the back door. The hotel even has its own boat, and guests get complimentary boat tickets and can book a ride. However, the room itself wasn't great. The gap under the door was wide enough to fit a finger, and the soundproofing was terrible. I could clearly hear the young people next door playing games. The 'sky courtyard room' design is quite unreasonable; what they call a courtyard is basically just a dirty, messy open space. Because there's a small river nearby, they even skipped building a wall, so there's absolutely no privacy. I couldn't relax at all from daytime until 9 PM because directly opposite is a commercial street, and the promotional ads for Mixue Ice Cream and the endless loop of songs from the 'day coffee, night wine' place next door were constantly playing. The breakfast offered a good variety, but it wasn't particularly refined. Still, you can definitely fill up and eat well.

The room size is comparable to a standard room, well-equipped, and the staff are highly professional and friendly. The hotel is beautifully located by West Lake, and you can access the lakeside directly through the hotel's back entrance using your room key card. Breakfast is plentiful, and dining with a view of West Lake is a unique experience. This is a historic hotel, having hosted many notable figures from recent history, giving it a rich historical charm.

I visited Hangzhou with my parents, and I can't believe it's been almost ten years since my last trip, despite how close it is to Shanghai. I really shouldn't have waited so long! 😂😂😂 I spent a lot of time choosing a hotel this time, and I'm so glad I picked the Dahua Hotel – it was definitely worth it. It's right next to Yongjin Park and West Lake Tiandi. The front desk staff upgraded our rooms and arranged for both to be together. We stayed in Building 2, which was incredibly quiet. The hotel's back exit lets you scan your card for direct access to West Lake, and while it's not a private area, the convenience is unbeatable. Guests also get two complimentary boat tickets per room for the hotel's own boat tour, which departs at scheduled times daily, circling the lake. There's even an audio guide explaining the sights, which is fantastic! 👍 Plus, the weather was amazing these two days, and my family all thought it was a wonderful experience.

This hotel is right by West Lake, and the overall style is fantastic. The staff are super nice. The room was a bit small, but that's understandable given the location. They offer complimentary boat tickets for the lake upon check-in. You can access West Lake directly from the hotel's back entrance by scanning your room card. However, it seems none of the rooms have lake views; those were all given to the restaurant. The breakfast is among the best I've had at any hotel, and you can enjoy the West Lake scenery while you eat. Highly recommended – a must-stay if you're visiting West Lake!

Two-person, one-hour West Lake boat tour: Excellent! Not crowded, comfortable space, beautiful scenery, and an amazing experience. Facilities: Newly renovated, and the facilities are quite good. Environment: The environment goes without saying, it's a prime location with the hotel's own private lake-view area, which is a great advantage. Service: Breakfast was quite comprehensive and delicious.

The West Lake boat tour for two was very comfortable, and the scenery was beautiful. The hotel's service was excellent overall, and the breakfast was also quite good. I'd definitely recommend staying here. It's conveniently located right by West Lake and close to the Music Fountain.

Right outside the door is West Lake, so the location is absolutely fantastic. The hotel even has its own private boat tours! You can book a time right when you check in, saving you the hassle of queuing up yourself.

The hotel's location is truly unbeatable, and the service was excellent. Even though West Lake was crowded during the May Day holiday, staying here as a base allowed us to really experience the lake. The hotel's private boat tour, complete with a guide, was a great way to see the sights; we took the first morning trip when it wasn't busy, and our child loved it. I'd read reviews mentioning poor soundproofing, but we stayed in Building 1 and went to bed at 9 PM, and it was perfectly quiet – we didn't experience any noise issues at all. The hotel is a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Despite the crowds during May Day, our child had a wonderful time.

This hotel truly lives up to its reputation as the best place to stay by West Lake. The beautiful scenery, delicious food, little squirrels in the trees, and exceptional service all made for a wonderfully comfortable experience. The hotel's boat tour is also a unique feature. I'm really looking forward to staying here again.
