Hangzhou girl's half marathon in April, second trip to Hangzhou. This was my first time trying a stay in the Jianguo North Road area. It's great to have a subway station right outside and be close to Chengzhan Station. There's also a vibrant local atmosphere nearby, but I didn't get a chance to experience the Fengqi Road market due to time constraints. The rooms are standard – nothing special, but perfectly adequate. The four complimentary bottles of water and the extra water dispenser in the elevator lobby were a huge plus. Perhaps because it's a bit far from the starting point at Wulin Plaza and the event wasn't very large, the hotel seemed unaware of the race, and likely didn't have many guests booked for it. There were no early breakfast or takeaway options, so I booked without breakfast. Therefore, I can't objectively review or experience their breakfast service. The small restaurant downstairs gets a big thumbs up – a truly good local spot. Because I booked through eLong, I arrived around noon. I followed the instructions and checked in at the Yuehua front desk. I was cut in front of by a group of three adults and one child, and had to wait a long time for them to finish. The computer next to me was also unattended. When it was finally my turn, I was served by a new employee who wasn't familiar with the system. The efficiency during peak lunch hours definitely needs improvement.
