Fantastic place to stay, warm, quiet and clean. Great location in the village, walks and bike tracks. My wife and would highly recommend it. Stay at Scarborough Lodge and have a restful romantic stay in Hamner.

Would not recommend this accommodation provider due to our experience. Correspondence was highly impersonal (generic), and getting in contact with the property was absolutely impossible - both us and Bookings.com attempted several times, to no avail to change/cancel the booking. We were stuck due to the Ashburton bridge closure, and had to change our trip to not travel North. The property could not be contacted (even though this was 6 days out) and was our only accommodation provided to not be helpful. Emails bounced, bookings messages were responded to with ‘check-in information’ and no phone answer. Incredibly disappointing.

The location was perfect. We walked to the pools, the shops and the restaurant at night. We could have walked to the tracks in the bush but took advantage of the cycle tracks instead. The place was roomy and clean. It had all we needed. We are keen to return.

After a long drive we expected a relaxing stay and that's exactly what we got at Scarborough Lodge! The room was clean, spacious and quiet. We got everything we expected and more. The spa bath was a bonus. Will definitely stay here again when we're back in Hanmer Springs.
