Dolce by Wyndham Hanoi Golden Lake

This hotel is extremely unfriendly to children and very dirty; the room was incredibly dusty. The first room I was given reeked of cigarette smoke, even though smoking inside the rooms is supposedly prohibited. I was then moved to another room, only to find it infested with cockroaches—this was the first time in my life I’ve stayed in a hotel room with so many cockroaches. Fortunately, I discovered them in the morning; had they been crawling on me at night, I would have been furious. I was then switched to an even worse room. Since I was checking out the next day anyway, I couldn't be bothered to change rooms again. I will not stay at this hotel again when visiting Hanoi. Can you imagine a five-star hotel with a cockroach in the room?and your room actually got downgraded to a worse one. The staff's English is also very poor, making communication very difficult.

The staff were wonderful, friendly, and always willing to help. I mentioned that we were visiting for our anniversary, and they kindly arranged complimentary room decoration, which was a very nice gesture. However, the hotel has no pool and very limited activities. The breakfast buffet also did not have many halal options. Another issue was hygiene at the buffet: I noticed some guests(Indians) touching food with their bare hands, and the staff did not intervene. The dine-in menu was also disappointing, as the food was not tasty. Overall, the service was excellent, but the facilities, food options, and buffet hygiene need improvement.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel is in a good place and onsite restaurant and infinity pool is a fantastic bonus. Would definitely recommend and would like to return.

Looked very beautiful and the room was very spacious and everywhere was golden as you would expect. The staff were friendly and it had a nice rooftop pool with a view.
