Some desk managers attitude is poor when hearing New England accents. One blanket had semen stains. Boxes of garbage left outside the doors of three units that had been there for days. The room was dirty, almost filthy. The nightstand between the beds was sticky & filthy.

I was somewhat nervous about this motel based on many of the reviews. I was unaware that this motel was connected to the motel next door, and that people must check-in next door. No sign indicated that motel check-in was at the other motel. The motel next door had breakfast, but Travelodge guests could not partake in it. There was hot water and a television. The staff was friendly and I did like the gym at the adjacent motel. There was a large parking lot and a pool for seasonal use. The room was comfortable for a night’s stay. There was much noise from the nearby train tracks, and another guest banged on our door, since he mistakenly believed that we were his friends. The room was worn, but it was clean, and it was not expensive.

My first room had two double beds (Rm. 148). I pulled back the covers of the first bed and saw stains that looked like blood. Plus, there was a burn hole on the sheets and a big orange spot on the pillow. The bathtub was very slow to drain. I was up to my ankles in water when taking a shower. After the first night, I requested to be put in a better room. The second room had a king size bed (Rm. 161). The TV would not change channels from the remote or TV. The refrigerator had mold/mildew in it. The microwave had food crumbs in it. The bathroom faucet leaked. I contacted the front desk and was told the handyman would not be on property until 8:00pm. At approximately 8:30pm, a man in a white undershirt knocked on my door with his dog on a leash. He tied his dog's leash to the outside door handle and left the door open. The dog promptly peed on the walkway in front of my door. The handyman, who could barely speak English, finally replaced the TV and after two trips finally found a remote control that would work. When I spoke with the manager (Brenda?) and asked about a discount because of the multiple issues, she said I already had the lowest rate possible and was not receptive to giving me a discount. In fact, she was a bit short with me and did not seem very customer service oriented. I originally made the reservation for 3 nights. However, due to the issues I encountered in BOTH rooms, I checked out after only 2 nights. I did not receive any discount. I will not stay in the Travelodge or Baymont in Harriman, TN again. I will not recommend these locations to friends or family. I am telling as many people about my poor experience at this Travelodge, as I can. The room rate may be enticing, but I'm reminded of the old adage "You get what you pay for." In this case, your not getting a lot for your money.

Never again will I stay at any Wyndham hotel. Not only did ********** charge me, the hotel charged me an additional 129.04. They claimed it was a security deposit. If anything, they should have paid me to stay there. The TV only got half the channels, the bed linen and the carpet had cigarette burns in it, the tub and floor was nasty and the air conditioner barely worked. The absolute worst hotel I've ever been in.

Only stayed here because our original reservation was messed up. The room was dirty, the tub was dirty and would not drain. The towels were old, dirty, stained and had holes in them. The bed was lumpy. We were told this was the only room available, but didn’t see any other guests and the parking lot was empty. Would NEVER stay here again and will seriously reconsider ever staying in a Wyndham hotel if this is their standard.

I had a problem finding the property as it is part of another property. After finding the property there was a loose dog in the lobby. The dog was the owners dog. The check in clerk acted as if I was disturbing them and was insulted when I asked who the dog belonged to. I asked about the promised pool only to find out you had to walk through the parking lot then through the lobby to get to the pool which is shared with the Baymont hotel. The same with the breakfast. The room had 3 small pillows on a king sized bed. The thing that was the worst of everything was there were ants in the bathroom. I asked to check out early and was told I could then when I went to the front desk I was told I couldn’t. The same dog was in the lobby by the way. After arguing with the clerk I was allowed to check out. I asked for a receipt and that was a problem as well.
