There has indeed been many changes, not for the better, from the new ownership. We used to call it our "home away from home" but no more. Comments made to us and those I've read in reviews points to new ownership not really interested in running the place as a luxury B & B. In fact, on our first visit after the change of ownership, the new owners ACTUALLY said to us that the old owners lost money on the place so they were making changes to that effect. Where to begin........... On our last stay, at least the 4th since new ownership, we added up all the inconveniences and personal slights. Just from the last stay: upon arrival, perhaps 2pm instead of the 3pm check in time, our keys were not in the foyer. After a 7 hour drive to get there, we were told to come back at 3 becuase they would have to charge us $25 to check in early !! After a bit of a hum and haw, the keys magically appeared and the room was indeed ready. The heat for the whole upstairs rooms wouldn't reach our room "it's on the end of the system" so we were provided with a space heater. The breakfast on our first morning was on par with a breakfast bar at a Motel 6 - the next day we wrote "no breakfast" on our order menu and went to a local bakery for breakfast and coffee. The small snacks that used to be available for hungry travelers are gone - not one package of anything in either building. Needless to say, it's not our "home away from home" anymore................
