When my friends and I got there, we were impressed by this resort. It is beautiful, we were welcomed warmly when we checked in and the room was great. We were there before the Memorial Day weekend so it was quieter. We liked the pool by the beach entrance since it was quiet and it felt like we had it to ourselves. We stayed for 5 nights and the third day was when we started to noticed all the problems with this resort. Early in the morning, the alarm came on and there was a prerecorded announcement that we should evacuate the building. As we were trying to flee the building (not knowing what was going on) we saw an employee so we asked him what was going on and was it serious and he couldn’t give us an answer. We get to the lobby and asked the employees there and they had no clue as well. They finally told us that, the alarm is sensitive and if someone was smoking in the room it will set off that alarm. They answered like it was a normal thing that happens. The last day we were there the alarm came on in another building and it didn’t phase any of the employees. I understood that the resort wasn’t busy but service was scarce and most of the employees were just rude and not very friendly with the exception of a few. The same day, we were having lunch at the buffet and I needed to use the restrooms. Unlucky for me, I was locked in one of the stalls. For about 10 or more minutes, I was knocking on the stall door and screaming for help. Thank goodness my friend came in to check on me. It definitely wasn’t a good experience for someone who has claustrophobia. I went back into the restaurant and asked for the manager, he came out and apologized about what happened. Then one of the servers told me that her co-worker got locked in the other day and she had mentioned that a sign should be posted on the door. But there was no sign on the door hence why I got locked in. I actually went to the lobby and got a hotel manager instead and spoke about my concerns, just to let her know what happened. That night, she reached out to me and said they would give me a massage for free. Since, I was with two other friends I didn’t want to do it unless they were involved and I expressed this to the manager and she said she would get back to me. She never did and I followed up and nothing. So that’s that. I never expected anything but if you say you would reach out and don’t that’s just not okay. Let’s talk food…food was okay but the options were minimal. I ended up pretty much eating the same thing everyday for 3 meals a day. Wish they would have some local options. Also, the last day we were there, we decided to go to the grill to grab lunch. We ordered our food and we watched as everyone around us who came after us get their food and we didn’t. After 45 minutes, we asked about our food and they said they were very busy that is why the food didn’t come yet! (They totally forgot about our order.) So they decided to send out 4 orders of fries to us. When the foo
