We only used the bar - its handy coming in by train as 2 minute walk from Hornbeam Park station . As usual the staff are great - very efficient . But sadly the bar area is still tired - the tables chairs and general decoration need to be updated . This is easily the worst premier inn bar i have used and ive probably been in over 30 Prem Inn bars in england . Cask Ale selection is dire, as usual .

We decided to stay at the Premier Inn Harrogate on the basis it had free parking and was easily accessible without having to negotiate roads in a more central location. We booked one of the Premier Plus Rooms as a treat for ourselves and we were satisfied with the room it was clean, tidy and comfortable and we suffered from no noisy interruptions. The standalone shower in these rooms is one of the differences to a standard room, and we found it much better. The kettle and mini fridge with free bottles of water were an added bonus. We were not able to connect to the free Ultimate Wifi it kept asking for payment, but no big deal as was only there for one night. We ate in Harrogate, but had breakfast at Table Table attached to the hotel, the service he was poor, grumpy and unhelpful staff, probably overworked as only 2 members for a busy restaurant. We had continental breakfast which was not as I expected, no filter coffee, machine was broken, the fruit juices tasted as if it had been watered down and given the prices not good value for money

I was in Harrogate to go to a football match. I found the Premier Inn a good location as though not in the centre of town it was an easy and enjoyable walk to both the town centre and the football ground. My stay was made even more enjoyable by the very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms and food were pretty much as I’ve come to expect from Premier Inn. Comfortable and apart from some kids running around on the first night, quiet.

The room was dirty and smelled damp/musty. Sweet wrappers left near the bed and the bed sheet was stained. I requested the room to be cleaned at 9:30 the next morning and the stained sheet changed. The room hadn't been cleaned when we returned that evening. Reception staff weren't interested and told me to report it next morning to the manager. I did she wasn't interested either, her exact words were "I can't turn back the clock" As we went into the restaurant there were 2 men fast asleep in the bar area surrounded by dirty crockery, I said that they looked like homeless people to the manager, but she said they worked there! We didn't stay for breakfast, we packed up and left, never to return. We have been staying here for more than 13 years, several times a year but it has deteriorated badly. Oh and the TV was broken and the bathroom had a leak

Be warned the place is dated and dirty with slow unhelpful staff. The rooms have never seen a proper clean for months. Filth around the bath and obvious water ingress on part of the ceiling along with black mold on the window surround. The carpets are edged with a thick layer of dust and fluff. There's no way I'd stay in this overpriced place ever again.

This PI is cheaper than some others we stayed in on our trip, which was nice, and we didn't want the town centre because of the parking which is £15 overnight. This one has free parking. It's handy because its next to the train station. The staff were helpful. negatives: Very nasty musty smell on entering, like old dish cloth smell. This smell remained for our whole stay. older style hotel, open your window to cool down, put on the wall heater to warm up. Open window means traffic noise. Overhead shower, no hand held shower, so take a wash cloth. Bedside light was out. TV controls didn't seem to work properly, I asked for help, she told me it was a 'basic package' and it would respond, just wait. Sure enough she was right, but it was very frustrating trying to operate it (I've been in lots of PI's and this was worst tv). Restaurant adjoining serves breakfast, it's not a buffet, so if you want more, you aren't offered it. Coffee is from a big coffee pot, not a machine, so there's no choice. Overall, it was ok, but I wouldn't be going back as I think it all needs an upgrade.

Quiet uneventful stay. Good food at both breakfast and evening meal. We had not booked the meal deal but this would have been very good value. And nothing else more to say really but need to keep typing to hit the stupid minimum 200 characters!

Really disappointed with the our stay, the smell of damp in our room was absolutely disgusting, the rim around the shower was black and needed a good clean. There was dust everywhere. We had a cold shower which resulted in us having to go to a family member’s room to have a shower before a wedding. Went down to reception twice to complain and we couldn’t find anyone.

The room was dirty, I was so disappointed. I usually clean around when we stay in a hotel but this needed a good clean, from thick dust on the skirting boards to hair clippings around the sink, black mould on the window ands window frame, the same all around the fittings in the bathroom, a fridge that wasn't defrosted so it restricted what you could get in, and the tray containing the kettle and tea coffee etc sticky and marked with what looked like spilt milk. When I complained the receptionist was the only member of staff there and although she did offer to come and do something she couldn't leave her post. The bedding and towels were clean though and the bed was comfortable, but there was a gap under the door and the corridor light shone through which was quite distracting, I won't return.
