What a fantastic hotel! Staff were incredible and the facilities were great. Spa was perfect especially later in the evening as it was almost just the two of us with it all to ourself!
We ordered room service from Frederick's bar and it was delicious and super speedy.
The top tier moment was finding out they were dog friendly and being able to bring our four legged friend along!
Will definitely be staying here when we return.

The cost of the accomodation didn’t quite match the level of service we would expect. The location is grand and the facilities are really good, as is the breakfast.
However, the pool is limited to strange times for families such as during breakfast and dinner, when the middle of the day is would be more suitable.
Also someone chased after us when leaving the spa to return the towels, which two children were using, rather than allowing us to leave them in our room for housekeeping to collect.
The house keeping took two turns to send shampoo to our room, after a polite call, they sent shower gel instead.
In summary, great food and facilities, but it’s bit awkward with children to be there and the service in the spa and housekeeping is lacking.

Lovely old hotel, comfy rooms. However, Restaurant very overpriced. It was my birthday and I was looking forward to a special treat of chateaubriand. It arrived and was just the size of a normal steak - not ideal for sharing. We requested it rare but when it arrived it was clear it hadn't been rested as there was blood on the plate which hadn't gone back into the meat. Very dry and not pleasant to eat. Complained but got no feedback

We visited the hotel to celebrate an 80th birthday. A mere hint to the hotel on the day, and our room was upgraded, balloons and other decorations provided: the reception staff, and indeed all the staff, were brilliant. Add fine food in the restaurant, the spa (5-star), plus a fairly modest price for such a grand hotel, and our stay could not have been bettered. (Bettys and the rest of Harrogate's attractions also within easy walking distance.)

We visited the spa today and we had an amazing experience. Everyone was so welcoming! At the reception we were greeted by the lovely Mia, Sheila and James who helped us out with everything we needed and guided us throughout the day. We also had treatments provided by Joanne, Ella and Mahmoud which were the best treatments we’ve ever had. They were all very professional and made sure we felt comfortable. We couldn’t be happier, we had a 10/10 experience!

I had an amazing hen party organised in here and honestly it could not be better! Especially Ella in the spa, who was very knowledgeable and provided me with a brilliant facial, a massage and wonderful relax experience. Highly recommend!!!

I had a lovely spa day with my daughter and daughter in law today. We had an amazing time. We all had a treatment each, I had a facial which was amazing. My therapist Mahmoud made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole treatment as he was very respectful and professional. My daughter’s therapist was Joanne and daughters in low was Ella I can 100% recommend them all. We also had some afternoon tea provided by the lovely James and Shelia. Thank you for the lovely spa day

Seriously overpriced. We paid £220 per night for 3 nights in a deluxe room. I am still looking for the deluxe. Bog standard would be a more accurate description of our room. Our view was the grimy roof of a large warehouse.
