I had 2 28" lugguage and 1 small one and the elevator is "out if service".. i need climb up the stairs w my 2 heavy ligguages myself... There is no ventilation in the toilet, the exhausted fan in the bathroom is not working!!!! I booked 3 nights and the first night there is not hot water when I took the shower ... the room is very old and the entire feeling is "not clean" ... I am quite disappointed ...

We were attending a conference at the Harrogate Centre, and this hotel was ideally placed to walk easily to the venue. Comfortable room (a bit too warm), great roomy bathroom, good facilities. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely bar area. The evening menu was rather pretentious, as most city centre hotels, and portions were not that substantial, but breakfast was buffet style so you could have as much as you wanted. We liked the idea of getting a free drink each if we didn't have the room made up, as it helps the environment, and didn't cause us any issues. Could have done with an information sheet in the room to remind us of meal times etc. We would definitely return to this hotel if we attend another event in Harrogate.

We found the hotel of very good quality and in an excellent location for access to the town. Some of the staff are still obviously finding their feet but when I arrived at reception to check in the young man was dealing with another customer but never acknowledged me. I am 6 foot 2 and easy to see and I think an acknowledgement of my presence would have been more professional. My one ****** was my wife has a blue badge and we had to check out early in the morning. I queried if we needed to pay for parking. The staff member didn't know so I said I was quite happy to pay and he would sort it out latter in the day and get in contact whatever the outcome. Unfortunately I have not been contacted. Like I say I was happy to pay but would have liked a clarification.

Nice hotel in a great location, stayed with familly for the weekend visiting the national shooting show. Nice bar, indoor and outdoors.

Must be newly refurbished, amazing, very luxurious all the way through. Our room was on the ground floor which we requested, my husband has trouble walking, next to a door which took us straight out side without having to negotiate steps. My only concern was to getting to the bathroom you had to go up 2 steps perhaps a small handrail would be a good idea.

Great location of this Inn, attractive bar and lounge areas inside and out. Unfortunately dinner spoiled a little as no veg arrived with meal- had to ask. It did arrive but most of meal eaten by then. Room was ok but some areas needed touching up. Worst part of stay was a 1.30am fire alarm which meant using the exterior fire escape (from the third floor) which was unlit. Very glad we had phone torches. A group of us gathered in the car park and waited…. and waited. When alarm stopped and no fire engine had arrived we assumed it was safe to return to our rooms. A call to the night porter confirmed it was a false alarm but the lack of any roll call or guest checking was disconcerting. No explanation or apologies of any kind from staff at breakfast. This will be our memory of the Harrogate Inn which is a shame as it is perfectly located and a generally attractive building with pleasant and helpful staff.

Fire amen at 1.30 in the morning no explanation to why didn’t see any members of staff , did not have any checks to see if all guests where outside and ok , no explanation in morning as to why or what had happened, bar staff and breakfast staff where lovely
