Residence Inn Hartford Downtown

Good hotel in the heart of downtown. Staff at reception were helpful and the rooms very spacious. Breakfast was adequate too. Close to all amenities, so overall a very pleasant stay. Thank you.

Right in the middle of town, a close walk to the river, parks, historical buildings, UCON and Dunkin’ Stadium. The greatest thing about this hotel is the massive spacious rooms with a full kitchen. Parking was super easy and affordable.

We were in town to see a relative graduate from UMass when our mother had a sudden cardiac incident and had to be admitted to a local hospital for multiple procedures. We had only planned to be in town for a few days, so we were scrambling to find a hotel close to the hospital which had multiple beds, a kitchen, was handicapped accessible, etc. JoAnn (the manger at the hotel) was wonderful to work with after we cold-called the Residence Inn to ask about extended stay rooms. Our 'weekend trip' turned into a 3 week stay, and we were at the Residence Inn the entire time. The entire staff was absolutely wonderful to work with, the facility was great, and St. Francis Hospital was only a few minutes away. I genuinely lost track of the number of favors my family had to ask during our stay, from wheelchairs to shower chairs to innumerable lost or misplaced room keys as we scrambled back and forth between the hospital and relatives apartments. The front desk and maintenance/cleaning staff handled them all with grace and professionalism. The stability of knowing we had a clean, comfortable place with caring people to come 'home' to after long days at the hospital was so important during a very trying time. I will be forever grateful with how well we were treated!

I love this Residence Inn in downtown Hartford! I always stay here when I am in the area because the location is perfect, the rooms are huge - some larger than my apartment - and the staff is fantastic. From the lovely young lady who checked me in, to the breakfast staff and housekeeping - the staff here is just wonderful! I am happy to see renovations are happening, but the renovations won't interfere with your stay. I definitely recommend!!

My daughter and I stayed at Residence Inn while attending the Cardi B concert (4/3/2026) The room (a loft) was more like a small, cute apartment! We loved it! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The best part, the breakfast! They had an awesome selection of breakfast foods, fresh fruit and beverages. If I’m ever in Hartford again, I would 100% stay here again.

Clean big room. Hotel is well located, walking distance everywhere. Building is historical and beautiful, however hotel outside entrance is a bit scary and run down! But once you walk in to the hotel area is nice. Breakfast is ok, process fresh food.
