The Winstead Inn

We booked a fairly last minute booking to the beach resort. It was our first visit to the area - and certainly will not be our last. The sand was beautifully manicured and almost felt like powdery gulf sand we experience in Ft. Myers Beach! The weather was wonderful, and the hotel was lovely. Had a bit of a feel of a bed and breakfast. It’s an older property but very well maintained and quiet. Breakfast was modest but very adequate for our needs. Yummy pastries, hard boiled eggs, cereal and excellent coffee. We VERY much enjoyed the short walk to - and taking in the area shops and restaurants. They had an awesome pizza place, great bars with live music and fresh seafood, ice cream shops, and lots of shopping. Just an awesome area all around. We could have spent much longer. Recommend highly.

No one available after 8 pm to help w anything. Leave keys to door outside in mailbox - anyone could take them and walk in.

Excellent stay, we even had afternoon cookies and drinks. Staff went out if their way to please us. Landscaping was perfect as was everything else.

I usually don't leave reviews but thought I needed to for my stay here. I paid over 1100.00 dollars for a two night stay in a room that had a bed that should have been thrown out years ago. It was so bad I though of sleeping on the floor. My girlfriend sat in the chair most of the night because of how bad. it was. It sunk in the middle and squeaked so bad every time you moved it was terrible. We both woke up with backaches. I was up and sitting on the front porch at 5 in the morning because my back hurt so much. The next morning I checked the reviews and came across a few that referenced the same thing. I told the management quite a few times during the day about it and they reassured me it would be taken care of. They did nothing. That coupled with a continental breakfast that was lacking to say the least. The television in the room was something you would expect at a Motel 6 and the shower stall was a small fiberglass unit. Not something you would expect from a so called resort. My parking spot was basically on the street The outside is beautiful as is the interior. But the bed being so bad and them not caring at all made me leave this review. Not worth the money by a long shot

Beautiful inn with well maintained grounds, clean pool with ample supply of towels, attentive staff, and great location. We stayed in the Foreword Stateroom, which was large and clean with a patio and adjacent parking. The bathroom had a spa shower, quality toiletries, heated floor and plush towels. The breakfast was excellent and varied with a personable attendant. The beach ( a short ride) is gorgeous and the convenience of towels, chairs and umbrellas adds to the value. This is my favorite Cape Cod property.

Stayed at the beach resort, great location and very central to town. The outdoor decks and private beach were comfortable and peaceful. Staff was great and breakfast was truly delicious. We would stay here again.
