Very nice modern room, good coffee and tea facilities, nice bathroom, desk, large TV (unfortunately missing half the channels), spa with good size swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room (out of order for two months), lovely grounds, even some deer, with lakes for a stroll. Two restaurants, the Tudor restaurant is in an old farmhouse and court from the Middle Ages, the breakfast hostess, Mitch, told us about its history and features, we thoroughly enjoyed that.

Pleasant stay apart from the fact i am registered disabled and was given a room with several flights of stairs and no walk in shower. Also the lift to the pool was broken so more stairs. on the upside the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was lovely. Portion size at dinner could of been abit bigger as it is dinner after all. Breakfast was lovely. Pool was a welcome sight but sadly steam room was out of action.

Arrived to stained bed sheets, and a swift change to a new room. Power cut on the Saturday and left literally and figuratively in the dark - no comms, no thought about safety ( dark unlit corridor with stairs anyone?) , no evident leadeship and on check out a promise to communicate and compensate which hasn’t materialised. Avoid.

Was hoping to book somewhere for a treat before our return flight to France and wasn't disappointed. From check-in to check-out all was excellent. Used the pool and gym which were both well maintained. Evening meal was excellent, as was breakfast the following morning. Plenty of parking available. Would definitely stay again.

It was overall a good experience and stay.
Staff were friendly.
We arrived at 1:30AM and was stood trying to check in for what felt like an eternity. Some miscommunication and our room was wrong (booked suite and somehow ended up with two single beds pushed together)?
We were upgraded at no extra charge which was really nice, thank you!!
There was more water coming out of the bottom of the shower head than the actual head.
Smelled damp upon entering but aired it out and got used to the smell.
Despite this, staff were great and really added the value to the stay. Thank you again!!

The waiter called myself and the other guests "mate" (very strange guy, made me feel awkward) However both waitresses were brilliant and very welcoming. Hotel receptionists were also brilliant. Food was below average. Crab cake starter (reminded of cold cat food from the fridge) steak was gristly, had a bad tummy the day after. Hotel was grubby. Gym was very poorly equipped with limited equipment crammed into a small room. It used to be twice the size! (5 t.v.'s 1 working, no music/radio) Loose paving all the way to the gym from the hotel. I didn't sleep as the room above me made a lot of noise when people walked from 1 side to other at 11pm 12am 3am 6am. I was in room 502 (older part of hotel)
