It was great. It is a guest house in Miyajima. We stayed with 3 people. It was about 25000 yen a night. The room is very large !! I thought it was in a house. There was also a veranda in the room on the first floor. It is with kitchen ♪ There is also a counter seat, and it is not troublesome for a place to eat and drink. The location is in front of Miyajima ferry terminal.

After battling crowds in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima, Miyajima and the Hotel Miyajima Villa were a welcome respite. Indeed, we so enjoyed our stay that we added an additional night. Before and after the arrival and departure of day trippers from Hiroshima, we felt as though we had the island and its wild deer all to ourselves. The hotel is immaculate, ideally located (a few steps from the ferry and a short walk to the island's attractions) and staffed by incredibly helpful, friendly and energetic staff. A hearty breakfast got each day off to a solid start while our afternoon soaks in the top floor onsen were perfect for getting rid of kinks from a day of sightseeing.

Itsukushima Island
I went to Miyajima on a family trip and used it for the first time. It is a feeling that the old good old inn built by the sea near the bustling shopping street which is the main street is renovated for the present age, and the whole facility ~ the facilities in the room are unified and beautifully arranged It was a very nice inn where you can feel the old history in 々 while being able to feel it. There are many free services available only for guests. The hotel has a lounge with free drinks to enjoy the scenery in the lobby and the top floor, and there is also a service where you can choose multiple pillows and yukata according to your preference. There are plenty of drinks and sweets in the room, so I didn't have to worry about the expenses of fine beverages. This inn will respond as flexibly and pleasantly as possible to the wishes of the guests. For example, in our case this time, when we told our family in advance that there are people with bad legs, they can install a bed in a Japanese-style room, and change the basic dishes provided to each person's taste. Even if I was lost, I was able to make a flexible response and suggestion immediately, so I was able to spend a very comfortable time. The hot spring is in the basement, and it has an old-fashioned atmosphere with only a large bathtub 1, and it is not so large, and the scenery is not good because it is in the basement. Compared to the hot spring resorts devised at this time, it may feel unsatisfactory, but it is clean and the temperature is around 40 degrees, so it is ”good old” while taking a long bath. I felt that it was a place to enjoy. It was stated that the quality of the hot water was slightly salty and smooth, and it was pumped and boiled from the source. I was able to take a comfortable bath without being squeezed or dry even by families with weak skin. Unfortunately, there are no open-air baths or private baths, but some rooms have open-air baths with rooms, so I think you can choose according to your taste. What should be noted here is the wonderfulness of the food. The amount of meals varies or is insufficient depending on the course and price, which is often a big preparation at such a large inn, and the impression and quality of appearance are greatly different from the images on the site. Instead of having a sense of failure such as the dishes that were cold at the time of serving inn dishes, we were able to provide a wonderful dish of a more impressive level. This time we were in the room, and it was originally said that Masazen was the basic set, but 4 kind of seasonal course dishes (Masazen, delicious fish, delicious meat, delicious feast) with guidance on the site. I requested it at the stage of advance reservation and received everything with my family. There is no loss at all in every course, and the abundant ingredients unique to the land are carefully prepared, and all of them are very delicious, and the individual dishes requested by the order are prepared quickly. At the end, he made rice balls for dinner, which were full and could not be eaten, and he was able to provide a supreme time beyond the best. In addition, the breakfast at the dining hall I received the next morning was surprisingly luxurious with a large number of items, but the amount was gradually appropriate and very satisfying. The seasoning is natural, healthy, and exquisite taste adjustment and appropriate temperature, which does not rely on artificial taste operations such as umami seasonings, while protecting the gentle flavor that makes the best use of the goodness of fresh ingredients. Submit It was served, delicious and very impressed. Even teens did not feel any dissatisfaction and were able to enjoy it until the end, and there was no problem with the temperature, seasoning, size and hardness of the ingredients for the elderly. I'm a diabetic Ⅱ type and I'm usually worried about my blood sugar level, but even if I eat this well 々, my blood sugar level rises calmly and does not soar as when I eat out. After 々 I was very surprised because I didn't feel sick. I think there are individual differences in how to feel the taste, but I hope it will be helpful.

Really nice traditional guesthouse to stay in Miyajima. Right in the heart of the old town and couple of minutes walk from the shrine. The chef is an absolute sushi master also and was amazed by the sushi omakase tasting menu we received as part of our stay. It included some different fish i was hoping to try while in Japan. Would definitely recommend staying overnight if you get the chance if visiting Miyajima as the shrine and Tori gate is really nice lit up at night when quieter with less tourists and the Shiomachi-An guesthouse made for a really nice place to stay

Good points: 1. Location is amazing since it’s right on the island and everything is within walking distance. 2. We had breakfast and supper included in the stay. Food was varied and plentiful for most palates. Plenty of fruit and veg too. 3. Staff for 98% of the time was great. Language barriers are expected. Google translate is a perfect alternative to the translation issue. The front desk staff were awesome and was extremely helpful. 4. Room is spacious for a traditional Japanese hotel. We had our own onsen which was delightful. The beds were mostly comfortable and we had two full mattresses pushed together creating a massive king! 5. Once you enter the hotel you must take off your shoes and the hotel provides house slippers which generally fit most people. The lobby has shoe cubbies for your shoes. They do not lock, but Japan has very little petty theft so you don’t need to fret over potential thievery. Negative points: 1. This is of no fault of the hotel, rather it’s a Google maps problem. Be aware Google maps will basically have you climb the mountain and drag your suitcase through a dirt path. Instead put in the Miyajima post office and with the water to your right, turn up to the small road with the post office to your back. Keep going straight for about 2.5 city blocks and you’ll walk right into the hotel. Much easier than the 40 minute hike we took. 2. Restaurant staff on the whole were great. Only issue was this morning when we went to breakfast this morning and tried to sit in our usual table, the staff tried to sit us with some other people. I asked if we could sit at a different table and the individual said no and walked away. We didn’t know these people they tried to sit us with. However, they were tourists like us. I was frustrated because the staff member just walked away from us when I was still speaking to him. Very rude! 3. The toilet room smelled really bad. It was a combination of mold and chemicals.

Probably our favourite place to stay in our 2-week holiday, with the best food and warmest welcome. Shinko-San was very friendly and welcoming. She kindly annotated a local map and advised us on what to see on Miyajima, as well as what times the low and high tides were to see the torii gate. Go and see the torii gate at sunset - the gate is floodlit so we got stunning photos there. All the day trippers had gone home so it was nice and quiet. Miyajima itself is such a lovely island, with a great shopping street full of places to eat, including street food, and a shop selling Studio Ghibli items which was perfect for my daughter. We did the cable car up Mount Misen, did the final walk up to the top, then walked all the way down. Beautiful and peaceful. The food here was extremely tasty, presented beautifully, and Shinko-San explained what everything was, and how to eat it. She wanted to make sure that we all liked it and substituted items for our son when there were ingredients that he didn’t eat. We especially enjoyed the tofu dishes and the fried oysters (you can see the oyster beds when you are on the ferry over to the island). Highly recommend the Japanese-style breakfast - the best breakfasts we had in 2 weeks. We stayed in a Japanese-style room (4 people) and there was 1 shower and 2 toilets in there, which was good. The futons were very comfortable, and we had a lovely view of the water. The bathroom that had the shower and toilet was quite cramped but it was fine for the 2 nights that we stayed there. We loved our stay here, and would definitely recommend it.
