I’m still shaking my head at the good reviews for this property. Our room had obviously not been cleaned well. There was a sticky substance on every surface (side table, desk, cupboard, bathroom floor). In the morning we saw a roach run across the bathroom sink. The water in the bathroom only ran warm (no cold at all) so we could not fill our water bottles. There was no coffee or tea unless it was purchased but there was no one there to purchase it from. I have never stayed in a Marriott property that didn’t at least have a coffee station for its guests. When asked, I was told there was a coffee machine in the room. (As a tea drinker, that does me no good) If customers want to stay with the Marriott name, they are better off walking across the parking lot to the Fairfield Inn. Perhaps there they will treat you like an appreciated guest. I wrote to Marriott to tell them about my experience and they said I would hear back from leadership at the Hattiesburg location in 5 business days. It has now been 9 business days and I haven't heard anything.
