The Partridge

Decided to book as travelling from Cotswolds to Whiston for a hospital visit. Sooo pleased we did! Excellent location. Lovely exterior and easy parking. Very warm welcome when arriving and very easy to book in. Staff are happy, cheerful, helpful and pleasant not only to the customers but also each other. This is a rarity these days in this industry and is heartwarming to see and encounter. The room was quite large, so was the bathroom. All rooms are at the back of the building with a very cosy and pleasant passageway to them. A warm, quiet, and peaceful nights sleep in a very comfortable room. We dined here and had breakfast too. Nothing was too much bother. Portions for the evening meal were on the generous side and the food was delicious. I would say this hotel is a little gem and would return any time. I've already recommended it to family!

During my recent visit to The Partridge on Mother's Day, I was impressed by the high standard of the food served. However, my experience was overshadowed by the behavior of the manager. Unfortunately, I observed him belittling the staff, which created an uncomfortable a**osphere throughout the establishment. Witnessing him swear at the bar staff was particularly disheartening. While I had initially planned to stay for dessert, the unpleasant a**osphere prompted me to reconsider, and I ultimately chose to leave. This behavior is not in line with the establishment's purported 'culture of kindness,' and regrettably, it has left me hesitant to return in the future.

Staff are always polite and helpful even calling you if you are running late to see if you are still coming. Rooms are good although older winows do let in a little draft so putting heating on before ypu arrive in winter would be a nice touch. Easy to park very quiet and always a great menu. I have brought so many colleagues and business folk here simply for the menu

I love the partridge for the food and service. The rooms are nice as well.

All of the staff were extremely polite and helpful. Food was of top quality and bedrooms were very good. Will definetely stay here again.

This lovely hotel/restaurant provided the perfect stopover for our journey from south to north. It is perfectly situated in delightful surroundings only a short journey from the M6, with all the facilities needed, provided to such high standards. The staff were very welcoming and efficient, the rooms clean and comfortable and we greatly enjoyed the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. We will definitely come back to the Partridge but next time maybe stay longer!

Came for the evening. Was welcomed by a gentleman who took us to our room. The room was rather large so they provided an extra heater, which was a nice touch. But it didn’t need it, it was warm enough! The bed was nice and comfy. We had a few drinks and nibbles before heading out for the evening. This was really nice in a romantic setting. The staff were all friendly. The hotel was super quiet for a wonderful restful sleep. Only one thing! The kettle didn’t work in the room! But I’m sure if we had of addressed this it would have been fixed. But we didn’t as it was no biggy! Free biscuits were welcomed too! Thank you! We will be back again. Thank you for a pleasant evening
