Great place to stay on east coast of Havelock Island. Very spacious rooms and bathroom, nice balcony. Lovely infinity pool and extremely pretty beach which is great to watch the sunrise. Staff were very helpful and accommodating, especially Sudeepta! If I ever get back to the Anda***s, would definitely consider staying here again.

Pros: Absolutely great staff, who go out of their way to help. Thanks Ms Farida for babysitting our infant while we are and naturalist Mr Anand for sparking an interest in my child about shells and sea creatures. Food was very tasty and fresh, especially seafood, as promised. Has a small kind of private beach cove, that's walkable and lovely for kids to play in. Very clean property. Cons: Comfortable rooms but pretty small for the steep 30k a night. Having had a good experience at Marari, the Tilar Siro property here doesn't really stand out from its peers in any way, there's tons of places on Havelock offering the same or more for much less. ***agement can do more to provide ready information on things to do in Havelock, instead of just pointing us to their in house, diving-oriented activity partner, Lacadives. We found more things like guided star gazing, glass bottom boat on the internet by ourselves. The sea here is not suitable for swimming though ***ager Mr Anil in his welcome speech calls it 'predictable and great for swimming'. That's because it is in fact, a rocky beach. Overall, it's the food and staff that's really going for this place. The staff were super accomodative to any requests we had, and it made it easy because we were travelling with kids and an infant. But when in Havelock next, I will keep my options open.

Our best hotel stay during our Anda*** trip was at Tilar Silo. The staff was very hospitable and amazing. The stay was also very comfortable. The food was amazing, also the menu changes everyday, as it is prepared by fresh produce. Just have to inform them in advance as they have to prep for it. They also had complimentary service like tidal walk and bird watching.

Our best hotel stay during our Anda*** trip was at Tilar Silo. This is hands down the best property I've started in a very long time. Our checkin was smooth and we were welcomed with such warm hospitality. The staff greeted us with utmost smiley faces and the ***ager explained us about the property. Our rooms.. so spacious...such beautiful view.. big balcony, the most comfortable bed, amazing wifi, spacious washrooms loaded with the best of toiletries Food here was to die for... Starting from the breakfast and other items on the menue. I must mention and give all the credit to the hotel for such wonderful high tea. The chicken puffs were the best I've had in the world.. pizza, speghetti, orange tea cake, khow suey, tender coconut panna cotta, mutton curry, cajun spiced chicken...Must must try... The hotel has a cute entry to vijaynagar beach... One can walk almost a kilometer inside the water during low tide.. The property also has various activities for the residents planned which is a must .. they also had beach shoes we could rent.. this was an amazing offer.. so thoughtful. Overall the stay was so amazing, comfortable and peaceful. Would love to visit here again Thanks to all the staff at Tilar Silo who made our stay so amazing.

We loved everything about this resort. Its sustainability, its complimentary activities on offer, the pool, beach, high tea and of course delicious food. The staff were absolutely fantastic especially with our daughter. A big shout out to Anand for chatting bioluminescence and birds with her and for all the staff that helped reunite our daughter with a beloved item she left behind. Highly recommend the nature walk and if we could have done it, the intertidal walk. Really hope to visit again!

This is a new hotel, beautifully designed, fitting well into the nature that surrounds it, right on a pretty beach. We had the private pool suite which was huge and luxurious. But the restaurant offering really needs improving - in trying to cut out waste you have to order 2 hours in advance, so we always ate elsewhere as there are so ***y great restaurants in this part of the island, and a couple of nice bars you can walk to. So, lovely property, just needs a bar and more accessible restaurant!

Wow. This was a spectacular trip! Tilar Siro is very nicely integrated into the natural environment. The location is excellent and the private beach is idyllic and perfect for swimming. We loved the overall concepts invoked here, on eco-friendliness and appreciation of nature. The kitchen serves amazing slow food and "real" coffee. Enjoy a morning lal chai while watching the sun rise from the beach. Do not miss the naturalist-guided tidal pool walk in the morning. The staff (Mervyn, Rigzin, Karthik, Anant, Dava, and the kitchen team) went above and beyond to make the stay truly memorable. Hang out with them and they will share all the secret places to go. We are already missing the place :)

Spacious, minimalist but luxurious rooms with generously large sit outs and balconies; plenty of storage in rooms, inviting bathrooms with rain showers and instant hot water, quality toiletries, well designed furniture with a confortable bed - Tilar Siro invokes a sense of luxurious calm and relaxation as you settle in. Its a small size resort, uniquely designed and built with a lot of wood and steel. The use of foliage and small water bodies add to the charm of this resort. The accommodation wing is built above the ground on wooden pathways that you use to access your rooms. At night the whole places is beautifuly lit with concealed lighting giving a chic aura to the resort. The pool is small but clean and inviting. Beyond the pool are the hotel grounds, mostly unkempt, with tall palm trees and a pathway leading to the beach. The stretch of beach in front of the hotel is rocky and not very desirable for a swim. The few trees on the beach have bent trunks and branches that are kissing the ground. You will find plenty of instagram moments here. However, the best part is that you get to see the sunrise from the hotel's beach and do not need to go to kala pathar beach at all. A welcome sight early morning is a hotel staff waiting with hot black tea (gratis) in the gazebo in the lawns as you are scurrying to the beach to catch the sunrise. The hotel also serves high tea with light snacks in the same gazebo every evening from 4.30 to 5.30 pm which is not to be missed. We found the overall service and cleanliness standards very good. However, wit all these positivie attributes a big missing link is the food and beverage which the resort needs to get right. They have a nice semi open restaureant which serves a good breakfast spread but they have a funny rule of ordering your lunch and dinner at least tw hours in advance. The ***agement does a whole song and dance about procuring ingredients based on your order and cooking them fresh just for you, hence the two hour notice. We tried that for lunch the day after we checked in and found the food to average and tepid. Maybe the chef cooked it two hours earlier and left to take his siesta. The hotel also does not have a liquor license so no chance of having a pina colada by the pool or beach. A good hotel/resort must offer a good food and bar facilities for a complete experience and it is here that Tilar Siro dissapoints. Another disasapointment is that there is no fitness center or yoga or other such activities although in their introductory talk the ***agement promised some free activities like tidal walk etc. whci never happened despite having a low tide on one of the days were there. Although the resort scores high on most things, it is not yet a complete package.
