Had a great stay. Room was very nice and staff were lovely. They had excellent underground parking that was free and are in an area with lots of restaurants and shopping. Havelock North is a great little town. My only suggestion is that they do away with the free guest laundry. The dryers don’t work well and that situation led to bad feelings between guests. I saw numerous conflicts. Better they don’t offer it at all.

Good location in the centre of town and quiet enough. Underground parking. Clean, comfortable and quite well equipped room. Nice bathroom. Small balcony. We opted to order flowers in advance for our arrival (an option offered by the hotel for a fee), however they were not there. The first person on reception shrugged and said they forgot (not the response you expect from a so called boutique hotel) but a second person immediately volunteered to get them and did so. Great restaurant next door.

I’ve stayed here for work a few times and have always enjoyed the hotel but as a family I wasn’t overly impressed this trip. I emailed to ask for a cot and when I arrived at the hotel to check in and pay, I found they charged for it. I’ve traveled extensively with my baby in multiple countries and have never been charged for one. Was more annoyed that they didn’t tell me there would be a charge when I emailed. The front desk also had someone follow me into the room to remove the booked one and could tell they weren’t impressed. Would have left it if I had known there was a charge when I booked.
