The Hale Pau Hana

Right on the beach with quite the view and the softest sand. Everything you could ask for in walking distance. Every morning turtles would swim by ocean side along with a reef to snorkel at your leisure. We celebrated our honeymoon and had an amazing time!

Great location and grounds. The apartment was dated and the beds were uncomfortable. The AC made the bedroom either too cold or too hot so we hardly slept. Still a good deal for the price but wouldn’t book again. I’m supposed to use 200 characters.

Excellent location, great staff, useful amenities, gorgeous beach! Walkable location close to restaurants, shops, groceries and bars. One suggestion that would absolutely have us coming back year after year: adding EV chargers to your parking lot, please. Manager was kind enough to let us switch condos halfway through our stay so we could get full AC, thank you!

Absolutely beautiful! The staff make you feel like family. The grounds and pool are very well maintained. The views from our condo were perfect from the mountains to the ocean, with nice breezes to keep cool. Overall, this is 5-stars for me!

I love the location and the employees are always kind and helpful. I have stayed in other units but I love the location of 207 it feels more private to us. Hale Pau Hana is directly across the street from the famed Cinnamon Roll Place, and located on the great Kam.

Amazing property and key location. Rented 5 units for family and friends for a wedding and Tiffany, Lisa and staff could not have been more accommodating. Beautiful condos and all so close to the beach. Great for all ages and very close to any shopping or needs you have. Our guests plan to return in future years.

The service and staff are exemplary!! They all make you feel so very welcome and bend over backwards to make sure everything is to your liking!! The grounds are always well attended and the pool is clean and warm. Makes one feel like they're stepping into a big bath tub! The guests, who are often regulars, are also very friendly so it's like going to a big family gathering each visit! Hale Pau Hana is so perfectly situated as one can go snorkelling at the reef between Kamaole 1 and 2 or the reef between Kamaole 2 and 3, both of which always have a good display of numerous coloured and sized fish and one usually sees at least one turtle. If you don't see any turtles while snorkelling keep your eyes open for them as they swim past from Kamaole 2 to Kamaole 1 or vice versa. There are stores across the street that rent snorkel gear as well as paddle boards. Other shops literally across the street from Hale Pau Hana include Cafe O'Lei and Fred's Mexican restaurant among other restaurants. There are clothing and gift stores as well. The Whalers General Store has a supply of some food items but mainly canned or boxed goods along with wine. If you don't find what you need their Hawaiian Moons is just a short block north that is a full on grocery store along with herbal supplements. A liquor store is less than a block away as well. And last, but not least, one must try the cinnamon buns at the Cinnamon Roll Place across the street!! Yummy!!!

The location, accommodation, beach access, friendliness of staff, and immaculately kept grounds were all excellent. Each unit is different in terms of interior decor and the staff allowed us to look at a couple of other units for future reference. My only recommendation to the facility is to please post the Office Hours on the office window.

Beautiful oceanfront location in a well maintained gem of a condo resort. Management strives for best practices in the areas of cleanliness, security, communication, housekeeping,and landscaping, The front staff are genuinely eager to fulfill requests always with a smile. Although our unit #104, was recently tastefully updated ( love the wood floors as opposed to tile), here are a few suggestions. Supersoft King mattress needs replacing, as well as the flat pillows. Replace the ultra heavy dinnerware with lighter, easy to carry outside Corelle, or similar. A blue plastic Recycle bin in each unit would help immensely. Sofa is dated and uncomfortable. Replace the two tiny square, always sliding, accent tables with a real coffee table.
