Did not get to go because we booked in January for May and they have since ceased trading. They couldn't even give us the courtesy of sending a email that they had ceased trading, took our money and now I am struggling to get this back even though I paid on credit card. If they have any decency they will confirm online somewhere that they have ceased trading so I can claim this back through the bank! Awful company!

Like the previous reviewer we had the same experience. Turned up today to find the place closed. Tried phoning and a message played back stating that they had ceased trading. We booked this in December and paid in full. We were still getting emails from them only a few days ago to confirm our arrival so didn't suspect anything was wrong. Speaking to the locals they were unsure what had happened as it just closed suddenly. We have tried emailing them but not hopeful if we can get a refund. They should not be able to get away with this by taking the money and running.

I booked this place over6 months ago and turned up on 10th Feb to be told by a local that they had done a bunk and it was closed Tried to make contact by phone and email and was unable to speak to anybody. Thankfully we managed to book the last room in The Red Lion otherwise our trip would have been ruined.

Really lovely little B&B in a cute and twee lakes village. We stayed in room 6 which apart from low head height in places was absolutely spot on. Spotlessly clean and in great order. Modern ensuite was lovely. Coffee and tea facilities. Nice big bed. Breakfast was amazing. Well cooked and presented. Set us up for the day. Staff were very friendly and I would recommend staying here.

I can’t believe this is not a four or five star hotel. The rooms were spacious and immaculate and bathroom spotless. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. One of the best breakfasts and such a great selection. Food on the night time offered a great selection and all very tasty- we were a group of 6 so tried many of the courses. We will most definitely be coming back. Thank you to the team of staff.

Amazing hidden gem in a perfect location we have just got had a 2 night break here after a poor holiday abroad and what can we say the place was spotless the owner’s go above and beyond to make you feel at home the rooms amazing and the bed was super comfy breakfast was perfect and lots of choices and the live entertainment was fabulous we will be back with the family for sure

Just back from a lovely midweek stay at the Sun Inn and what a pleasure it was to go there. From the minute we stepped into the place everyone we met was just lovely. The place was spotless, and the breakfast that was included was just amazing! The music night with" Fiona in the lakes" topped off a fabulous stay despite the rainy weather at the beginning of the week. Thankyou for looking after us so well. Cant wait to come back.

Had two very enjoyable days with friends at the Sun Inn and can highly recommend this lovely little hotel. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were superb. We had fish and chips on the first night which was supplied by the chippy next door and thought it was a nice idea that we could eat it in the hotel. We will definitely be back.

We had a night out in HH and found ourselves here at the Sun Inn. The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. There was live music and two stunning ales on tap- Dizzy Blond and Loweswater gold. We got stuck into a few of these, but found ourselves hungry. Luckily they have a deal with the Chippy next door. What a superb link up! So needless to say we have Fish and chips with a Dizzy Blond ale! A well run pub that definitely deserves a visit. Many thanks.
