The Calderwood Inn could be a five star Bed and Breakfast with more attention to detail. The home seems shabby and not in a chic way. Some physical examples include frayed rugs , chipped paint, tattered and filthy outdoor furniture covered with bird droppings, lack of ground keeping ( leaves and large twigs and branches, high grasses and ****s) The floors in our suite were warped and we couldn't close or lock our bedroom door. The innkeeper at the time of our arrival left during the " wine hour" and we asked about door security at the front of the house and she chuckled and said we don't lock the front door. She was extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming. The desk workers or innkeepers seemed completely disinterested in hospitality. Breakfast was good . The water dispenser was not always filled... sometimes empty. There was not coffee , tea or cookies all day as promised. Housekeeping was hit or miss.... mostly miss. We enjoyed the Wilson wine tastings and joined clubs and thoroughly enjoyed Joanie at Delormier and Heather at Sofa Rock and Chris at Mazzaco They were all outstanding. Same type of hospitable employees are BADLY needed at the inn..
