Really disappointing dinner. This has previously been a favour of ours but it’s definitely gone downhill. We told our waitress that our starters were substandard but they were not taken off the bill and no one came to talk to us. The main course says and puddings were very average and small. The food is on the expensive side so you expect to be delighted but unfortunately, this was not the case. On previous visits the restaurant has been packed and buzzing, but sadly there was just us and one other table. I emailed to complain afterwards and was offered a complimentary drink on our next visit. There will not be a next visit.

Booked here for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday, unfortunately service was terrible even though it wasn't particularly busy. Had to get up from the table on multiple occasions to go and find a waiter as no one came to take our order. Forgot our drinks, had to ask three times for tap water before it arrived, had to go and ask for the bill then no one came to take payment. Staff didn't seem to care - overall not the best experience!

Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bar area and snug room. Full English breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our room was very comfortable and nicely furnished. The products in the shower were very pleasant too. We would recommend staying here. We are returning next week.

Went with family on a Saturday night for dinner. Great looking old coaching in vibes. Food and service were excellent. Our waitress “Tori ?” was friendly and very helpful especially with my young daughter. Lots of variety on the menu. Will definitely revisit again

We stayed for a single night after a day at the races nearby. We enjoyed our stay - room a little noisy as near the kitchen extractor, but otherwise a good stay in a comfortable room. We had both dinner and breakfast which were very good. We ate in the pretty garden. Staff excellent - very professional. Good choice of food and lots of nice drink to choose from. Great location in pretty village near the river.

We had lovely stay for one night while visiting friends. Lovely staff cosy pub feel. Our room was really lovely warm but you could open the windows. Nice touches with chocolates and coffee. And gin or whisky on the way to your rooms too xx breakfast was really good too which great choices. Will definitely stay again when visiting Cookham.

I expect a comfortable bed if nothing else when staying over at a BnB but not here. The bed was hard, I had to find the extra duvet in the drawer and sleep on top of it to try and get comfortable. The price it was not worth it, Travel Lodge beds are more comfy!!!

Fantastic Restaurant in the heart of Cookham. The pub and Restaurant is really cozy and warm, the pub itself is the oldest inn in Cookham. Amazing Christmas Decorations. We were welcomed by the staff, super kind manager who accommodated us straight away, it was 5 of us. We went for Sunday Roast. The food took 20/25 minutes to be served, it was tasty and well presented. Fantastic selection of wines as well, we went for Argentinian Malbec. Price wise around 50£ per person including 2 bottles of wine ( 40£ each ) not cheap but worth the experience. Thanks guys we will come back !
