The surrounding environment is beautiful and it is a quiet place. The hotel elevator is very retro, and the European breakfast is also good. Be sure to try boiled eggs, you can just grab one and open it and it will be cooked to perfection. Smiling service at the front desk, very nice.

Bij aankomst werden we vriendelijk ontvangen, het duurde ontzettend lang voordat we naar de kamer konden. We hadden een luxe kamer maar de kamer was volledig uitgewoond. Muren smerig en de vloerbedekking was smerig. Op de badkamer in het bad lagen nog allemaal haren. De schoonmaakster is nog terug gekomen en heeft dit goed opgelost. De kamer is echt toe aan renovatie. De kamer is vies en het ziet er saai uit. Helemaal geen decoratie of iets wat de kamer "luxe kamer" waardig maakt. Daarna hebben we om 17.00 wat gegeten in het restaurant beneden, het personeel was heel erg vriendelijk. Maar het eten was ronduit smerig. Ik had een tomatensoepje en dit was ontzettend zuur. Het zag er ook uit alsof het een magnetron soepje was. Mijn vriend had daarna een biefstukje maar deze was nog helemaal rood vanbinnen en het leek alsof je op een fietsband aan het kauwen was zo ontzettend taai was het. Het toetje was opzich wel lekker, althans de stroopwafel ijs dan. Ik had de crème brûlée, maar je zag meteen dat deze uit de diepvries kwam. Het was ijskoud en het was hartstikke waterig. Helaas een super slechte ervaring. Ik ga nooit meer terug naar deze Fletcher.

The room it self was good and price wise I think very good. Very unusual the fact that the toilet was separate from the bathroom. with no hand basin. Very nice that there was a Nespresso machine, with 4 pots. Disappointing that there were just two paper cups. The thing that let our stay down was the restaurant. First we were told that we were too late to make a reservation and we had to come after 20.00 hours as the restaurant was fully booked. No effort was done, to write down, for instance the room number so they could have called when there were tables free. When we arrived at 20.00 hrs the restaurant was already almost empty. Also we were not so pleased with the food. The fries were really yummy, I have to say. Staff clearly did not enjoy working for this hotel. We were offered a reduction of the price, but we really had to ask for this, after we honestly mentioned what was wrong with the food and also that food was not eaten. Would I stay in the hotel again. Yes, would I eat in the restaurant again No.

De accommodatie aan de buitenkant is een plaatje, omgeving is rustig. Maar de binnenkant is echt gedateerd. Als je een ultramodern hotel wilt dan ben je hier helemaal aan de verkeerde adres. Maar het was netjes. We hadden geen verwarming op de kamer. Er stond wel een airco unit ofzo. Maar ik ben een persoon die geen verwarming aan heeft op de slaapkamer dus ik vond het geen probleem. Receptie dame was aardig. Alleen als ik toch een minpuntje mag geven is dat ik een verzorgde uitstraling toch wel belangrijk vind. En dan vind ik afgebladderde nagellak niet echt netjes. Avondeten was ook prima. En het ontbijt was ook prima.

The hotel is tired: peeling exterior, single glazing, cold bathroom due to no heating, dirty carpet everywhere. This hotel is in urgent need of renovation. The restaurant is what we call in Belgium “lunch garden” level. So you shouldn't come here for a gastronomic weekend. It's not all negative: nice house wine, cozy lobby, very good mattress (at least in our room) and friendly staff. The location for walks is also excellent. Renovation and a better kitchen, then I will come back. But as it is, no, this was not a pleasant stay.

Ons 2e en laatste verblijf in een Fletcher hotel. Klein Zwitserland is net als Slenaken een sterk verouderd, smoezelig hotel. Naar mijn idee in jaren geen onderhoud gehad. Alles te vies om aan te raken. Ontbijt redelijk maar diner zeer matig en veel te lang moeten wachten op simpele gerechten. Personeel kan nog veel leren. Verplicht buiten moeten eten, binnen was niet mogelijk! Gevraagd naar een manager om mijn klachten te uiten bleek een barmedewerker te zijn die totaal geen begrip toonde en alles afdeed met de woorden dat het alles volgens hun regels was geregeld. Oplossing: hotelafbreken! Nooit meer Fletcher!!
