Check in staff was the friendliest I’ve ever had in Helena.

I stay here whenever I'm in Helena because its got everything I need to feel at home, plus a decent gym. I'm able to cook something simple when I don't feel like going out and it's close to lots of eating options. Breakfast is pretty standard, which works for me, but if someone is looking for more this wouldn't be the place. Basically I feel safe, comfortable and prepared to go about my day.

Close to the airport

We had a suite with a fireplace. The suite was great with a small kitchen area, fridge and stove etc. We didn’t really use that. Staff was great. Breakfast was good. My only complaint was that the bedroom was extremely cold. We had to turn the heat way up and keep the door open for it to warm up. I slept in my parka all night.

Our visit started out great. It was my daughter’s 6th birthday. We reserved the room over a month ago & spoke with staff regarding party. We were told people book rooms to have parties ALL the time. When our guests arrived the front desk lady Carmen approached me & asked if any more guests were coming because we we were over our limit. We were never told there was a limit but I let her know everyone had arrived. Kids were having a blast! We were told we couldn’t have food in pool area so we staged food in room & guests go back n forth. When it was time to sing happy birthday we carried cake over to light candles & celebrate the little one turning 6. Instantly Carmen showed up yelling that we couldn’t have food at the pool. I explained that we were only singing. The cake would be cut in the room & guests would eat in room. She preceded to be extremely unprofessional. She yelled so loud kids were crying & all of their parents were extremely uncomfortable. My daughter was heartbroken on her 6th birthday. We took the cake to the room & Carmen came to the room to confront me. My mom & friend we at the door & she threatened them. I’m blown away! I’ve never experienced anything like this & have stayed at hotels all over the country. Carmen is the most unprofessional staff member I’ve ever encountered at any hotel. She made kids cry & threatened elderly ladies.

The room was fantastic!! The bed was very comfortable, and we really enjoyed the coffee provided in the room!!

Pros: Right by the airport, rooms are clean, spacious, and have everything you need; breakfast is good and there's plenty of parking. Overall it's one of those hotels that you can tell is just really thoughtfully and thoroughly managed. Cons: It's a little pricey for a residence inn and it's a little far from downtown helena.

I cannot even begin to convey the depth of my disappointment and disgust with the Residence Inn Helena, Montana. If I could give this establishment a rating lower than one star, I absolutely would. My experience here was a perfect storm of incompetence, disrespect, and harassment, leaving me utterly appalled. Upon my arrival to check in, I was met with what can only be described as a trainwreck of a night audit. This individual, who refused to even provide her name, was visibly frantic and physically shaking. It was as if I had stumbled upon a horror movie set. When I politely suggested that I didn't mind waiting if she was busy, her response was nothing short of shocking: "I said what can I help you with." Her tone oozed with rudeness and condescension, setting the tone for the nightmare to come. As I attempted to salvage some semblance of dignity and leave the premises, the night audit's behavior continued to plummet to new depths. She had the audacity to inform me that they wouldn't rent me a room even if they had one available. Such an astonishing lack of professionalism and courtesy left me speechless. In an attempt to address this appalling behavior, I mentioned the possibility of recording our interaction to present to management. Her response? A display of blatant discrimination, as she quipped, "I'm from here, I know the rules." This response is not only offensive but showcases the kind of toxic attitude that runs rampant within this establishment. Even when I requested her name to escalate the issue, she flat-out refused to provide it, further showcasing her complete disregard for accountability. And just when I thought the ordeal was over, she took it upon herself to escalate the situation by videotaping me as I left the hotel premises and shouting at me. This level of harassment is beyond unacceptable. However, the icing on this horrendous cake was the subsequent call from the manager, Robert. Not only did he outright deny my Titanium membership, but he had the audacity to tell me I wasn't worth his time. This shocking display of incompetence and disdain for guests' concerns is a clear indication of the toxic environment he has fostered within the hotel. In summary, the Residence Inn Helena, Montana, is an establishment that embodies all that is wrong with the hospitality industry. From the rude, frantic night audit to the discriminatory and harassing behavior exhibited, this hotel is a nightmare that no guest should have to endure. The manager's inability to address a basic guest complaint is a testament to the dismal state of affairs at this place. I implore anyone reading this review to spare themselves the horror and humiliation by avoiding this establishment at all costs. Your time, money, and dignity deserve far better than what this hotel has to offer.
